Had innovative breakfast menu

The breakfast choices were innovative and very tasty. Service was excellent, quick and friendly. Lunches were a good size, and moderately priced.

Wow, oh wow! Four of us went to JSix on a recent business trip to San Diego. We were so intrigued by the menu that we decided to dine "family style". We started with drinks and the chartuerrie board. Our server was extremely knowledgeable, and gave us great recommendations. For our entrees, we selected the cavetelli, the pork chop, chicken... More

....and we can't wait to have you back. Sounds like a dinner to be envied. Next time try the Chef's Mercy- 5 courses for $65pp where you put yourself in the hands of the chef and enjoy off the menu creations tailored specifically to your likes and dislikes! See you soon! Cheers, Ben More

I had the rib eye and it perfect along with the broccoli and au gratin potatoes. I split it with my husband and it was like getting two meals for the price of one with just the right amount of food.

No one leaves hungry! Glad you enjoyed the ribeye. Come back and try the Pork Chop with horseradish mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts with pancetta- so gooooood! Cheers, Ben More

Inviting atmosphere with a nice bar that serves up great drinks. Egg whites with locally sourced spinach was a very health breakfast choice.

Thanks for choosing Jsix. We also have a rooftop bar (LOUNGEsix) located on our 4th floor open to the public daily with amazing views of downtown! The drinks are equally amazing. Cheers, Ben More

The menu was very limited and rather odd. The service was fine but the menu needs to grow. The best part was the dessert, but only three to choose from.

JSix is attached to the Solamar Hotel. It has very cool decor- it has been remodeled since our last stay 2 years ago. It has the feel of a very chic urban industrial loft with exposed brick and muted colors. The staff is very enthusiastic and friendly! We only had breakfast there- oatmeal with blueberries, honey and flax. Although it... More

Glad you appreciated the remodel. We put allot of effort into the design and couldn't be happier with the turnout. The oatmeal IS fantastic! Try one of our housemade pastries with a healthy and fresh juice (The Beets Me is my favorite) on your next visit. Cheers, Ben More

Built my meal around dessert...maple ginger cake---6 big pieces of gingerbread and 3 scoops of pumpkin gelato for $8. It was a close to heaven as I've tasted in a long while! Scallops were cooked to perfection AND the chef consented to substituting horseradish mashed potatoes for the standard gnocchi accompaniment. Ditto what I said above about the taste. Liked... More

Scallops and maple Ginger cake?! You can't go wrong there! Next time try the Ribeye with potato gratan and grilled broccolini and finish off with the Chocolate tart- equally delish! See you soon! Cheers, Ben More

Natalie shines and makes your brunch twice as delicious! Tr the chilequiles and top it off with bottomless mimosas or bloody marys. Yummy!

This place is attached to the Solemar hotel. For breakfast we did the grits and eggs along with chilaquiles. Grits and eggs were good, chilaquiles were great. Service suffered due to one server being tasked with hosting, serving and tending bar for all patrons. Server managed to make it around to all tables and bar, while keeping a positive attitude.... Our server wasn't exactly up to speed but they made up for it with the food quality and a few nice gestures at the end. The desserts are worth the wait and the rest of the food was reasonably good quality as well.
