Good, but a bit expensive

Very good fondue restaurant. Liked the waiter and liked the fact that they made the cheesefondue in front of us. We made the mistake to take the bouillon for the meatfondue. So please take one of the oils! Chocolate fondue was magnificent, just not too much. Our bill was pricey, but we had full... read more

Ran a contest with our sales associates recently. Grand prize was night on the town. This was the perfect choice for dinner!! Service and meal did not disappoint. This was the first visit to Melting Pot for more than 1/2 of our group of 16. Private room with preset menu. Dee was extremely helpful helping me to set the menu.... More

My niece flew into town for a couple of days and we decided to join her in La Jolla for a short vacation. On our first night we went to the Melting Pot for dinner. After parking and walking thru the parking garage and up a rather tall stair way, we crossed the street where the Melting Pot is located.... More

It was a new experience to eat at The Melting Pot. The food was very tasty and cooking at our table in a fondue pot was unique. Portion sizes seemed small, however, and we left feeling hungry. We should have ordered more but made an effort to keep down the cost. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant, not one... More

It was our first time at a fondue restaurant and it was a lot of fun and the food was excellent. I would say that this would b a place to bring a date or go to with a group of people. But if your looking for a relaxing night out; a restaurant where you don't have to cook your... More

We always enjoy the food. The cheese fondue is delicious and the chocolate desert fondues are great. But what made our night so great was the bartender, Andrew (AJ,) who was also our waiter. He not only made great food suggestions, but he made us laugh and feel at home. I was celebrating my birthday and he made it very... More

First of all fondue is not for everyone. If you don't want to cook your own food, you should stay away! That being said, my husband and I loved this place. Service was very friendly, the cocktails delicious. The cheese and chocolate fondue are to die for. I'm not so much into regular meat fondue. We did eat the three... More

It was a very nice place. Manager came to the table a couple of times to make sure we were happy. We had to wait a long time for out choc fondue so he compt it. .Used a groupon and they taxed it before the coupon so we had to pay more. ???

This was a big hit with my teenagers. We chose the baked potato cheddar, steak and shrimp and the ying and yang chocolate fondue. Everything was excellent including the salad. They even brought me chocolate covered strawberries to take home. We were there for hours but had a fun time. Will return next trip!

Totally adore this place and always visit when in San Diego. Great service and a fun place to eat. Oh and the chocolate fondues are to die for! The waiter overheard us talking about my husband's birthday and he was given a box of chocolate covered strawberries. Really nice touch. Belated review as visited 2013
