Not what u think

Service was good but the prices are outrageous. Got a cheese fondue and then a dessert one. The dessert one was a real rip off. We had so much chocolate left yet wasn't allowed anymore fruit to finish it off. Had I known before ordering definitely wouldn't have ordered. Once was enough wouldn't go... read more

This is my 4th time eating at the Melting Pot in La Jolla and each and every time it has been great! The food has been delicious and the staff has always been fun and efficient! We have had several birthday parties there and plan on returning soon. This is not an eat and run type of place if you... More

Normally I don't write reviews, but after last night's disaster that was made worse by the staff and the manager's inability to either fix or remove food charges from the bill, I'm going to post this. It was if a trainee was our server and at this restaurant you need someone who knows what they're doing. She over heated to... More

The food and service at the Melting Pot were fantastic. We were served quickly, and well tended to in the 2.5 hour meal! We chose the 4 course experience, which was well worth it. The cheese fondues were divine, particularly the artichoke one served with bread and veggies. We chose the classic and fondue delight for our meats and seafood,... More

Our evening began with my being brought the wrong drink. The manager came to the table with a taste of another one, which he offered me since I "had not found the other one to my liking", as if I should have liked something I did not order. Then, the young man who was pouring my drink and my husband's... More

My husband and I love fondue after being introduced to it in Zurich many years ago. This restaurant had a fixed price ($60/pp) on New Year's Eve a couple of blocks from where we live ,so it seemed just perfect so we wouldn't have to drive on the freeway when everyone would probably be celebrating and driving. We were very pleasantly... More

The Melting pot was the first time eating at a fondue restaurant and it was great. The fondue is created right in front of you on built in table top hot plates. Great menu and good choices of beer to chose from. Cheese me up, Scotty.

This was by far the best service I have had since I've been to San Diego. Our waiter Thomas made recommendations which completely helped us decipher the menu. He also made the dinner extra special since my boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary. The only thing I would tell people is it takes about 2 hours to eat everything... More

Enjoyed a great meal at The Melting Pot! Waiter was extremely helpful!! It was our first time at a fondue restaurant and the waiter was very patient! He guided us through the menu and offered excellent suggestions! Also received a free piece of cheesecake for my birthday!! Overall impression was great!

This is one of my WORST dining experiences in years, when you consider the bill for a family of 4 = $160+. That is during Restaurant Week specials & using the kid's menu. To start we had the Alpine Cheese Fondue, and the cheese was great, but the stale bread and mushy apples made the dish worthless. Next we moved... More
