My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in San Diego area. Authentic, large portions and at a great price. I love #22, their extra large bowl of beef Pho.

Yummy food! Everything we ordered was good! Price is very reasonable. Don't be deceived by the outdated decoration of this place, it has an "A" rating which makes me feel good to eat here. Service is very good. Will definitely go back!

Authentic Viet food but was just missing something. Had Beef Pho, Fresh Rolls a chicken stir fry. Just a bit bland for Viet Food. Paid my bill and was not returned my CC card. Realized this the next AM, called and returned to the restaurant and spoke the very guy that waited on us. He went to the register to... More

This restaurant has a menu a mile long, (well no not literally). It is so difficult to choose an entree because the menu is extensive! Everything we have tried here is good. We especially like the chicken and rice in a clay pot, just delicious. For dessert try the three-bean dessert, sounds odd, but it is very good.

Saigon on El Cajon Blvd (across from Hoover HS), is worth a monthly trip from North County. We love the variety of items to choose from. I classify it as Chinese/Vietnamese, with freshly prepared ingredients and little use of oil. We like the veggie spring rolls with a great peanut sauce and I usually get a rice or noodle dish... I came down to San Diego to visit my friend. We came by to eat dinner here and I have to say the Vietnamese Cuisine is very delicious. We ordered the family dinner with 7 course dish. We had the garlic crab, fish sour soup, fish pot with oyster sauce, and more food. In all, it was some delicious food.... More

FOOD The pho was cooked with quality ingredients making for an incredible broth. The beef was a little fatty for me, but I understand that can be a plus for some. I tried some of my friend's Mongolian beef which was delicious. ATMOSPHERE Nice, large dining room. Felt a bit uneasy seeing two large rear projector TVs right above the... More

There's many Pho/Vietnamese restaurants in San Diego, but IMO I think Saigon is the best. Every dish I've had exceeded my expectations. Their spring rolls are huge! I get full on just an order of spring roll. My wife and I always come here for Pho and every time our families and friends are in town, we bring them here.... More

Saigon is a basic restaurant, no fancy decor, waiters with (often) minimal English, but the food is excellent, tasty, and very Vietnamese. The pho is made with fresh ingredients and is spiced very well, though there are the usual spices and condiments at the table to add to it. Other dishes--I've been there three times--are also fresh, light, and flavorful.... More
