3/6/14 The place was nice and clean. When they brought our food to the table, the eggs were just bare warm and the potatoes were cold. When we complained they did bright us some hot potatoes. We had to remind them we had also ordered a muffin and when it finally came to the table it too was cold. Cap... More

After having breakfast and on another occasion lunch I can safely say The Corner Bakery Cafe is worth a visit. It's somewhat self-serve; you order at the counter and they deliver to your table. The quality of the food is quite good, the service is quick and the prices are not bad. There is a lot of competition for eating... More

Today was our first visit for lunch, the place was busy as would be expected. The line moved along in fine fashion and we were seated and served in a timely manner. The menu is varied so there are plenty of choices. We liked the made-to-order concept as well. The tomato basil soup wasn't the best but it was tasty.... More

We always come to this place because it is close to the hotel we stay at. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. This time though it just felt "worn out" like it needed at good top to bottom cleaning. The dining area even smelt a little stale.

We have eaten at this place many times in Chicago and were pleasantly surprised to find one when were visiting San Diego. Of course it did not disappoint. Everything I have had here has been excellent and very reasonably priced. If you like creamy pasta you will love the pesto cavatappi.

Had breakfast here last year and food is good as usual. But this time I could hardly sit at my table. The booth we were at had cream cheese all over it and floor was dirty. We were there early morning so it should have been clean. The black rug was completely filthy. I won't go back again.

Good cafe food - but the "counter intelligence" is under-whelming. The person who took the order couldn't be bothered with being helpful. The menu said I could order fruit as my side but the cashier was crabby that I didn't want potatoes. A smile and some patience with customers goes a long way.

Went to corner Bakery & have to say it was pretty good. I especially liked that all the dishes had the calorie count next to them, which gave me comfortable healthy choices. The flavors were good, the only thing I did not like was the lentil soup - the spices were over bearing. Sitting inside was a bit chaotic, but... More

On vacation with my family. Loved the Chicken Pimodori. Not the cheapest place to eat breakfast but that is reflected in the food quality as well. I definitely recommend it

We checked out the Corner Bakery in San Diego's University Towne Center mall when visiting the area near UCSD last summer. It was the perfect place for breakfast (not just baked goods, but delicious egg scrambles and a health-conscious, low-calorie cold oatmeal dish smothered with fresh berries, for example). I also liked it for snacks or light lunches. The staff... More
