I enjoy my sweets, and I will not let anyone stop me from eating them. For those of you enjoy indulging in quality sweets, I would recommend Richard's. Pancakes melt into your mouth and I would not have gotten a quality made pancake outside of my home!

Maybe I'm missing something. I'm not sure why I waited an hour to eat here. The pancakes were average. The omelette was mostly egg and ordinary. The service was hurried. However, the portions are unearthly. It was just an ordinary breakfast.

Stop in here every time I visit San Diego. Love this place! The customer service is remarkable. Very popular, so sometimes a wait - but well worth it! They serve some of the greatest things you can imagine. My favorite is the Pecan Bake; but I have had lots of other items and have never been disappointed! Don't miss this... More

We noticed the line outside Richard Walker's while out for a walk to the Gaslamp area and took note. When I was searching trip advisor for a place to eat, this came up and we decided to try one day for breakfast... And the Monday after the Super Bowl seemed like a good time. We arrived shortly before 9 and... More

I'm a pancake tourist. I will seek out pancakes wherever I go. This place was so great, I ate here twice and I would have come back again if I'd had time. There is a line but it moves surprisingly quickly. There is a wide variety of pancakes from thin Swedish to puffy German, and fluffy pancakes with every possible... More

Go for the alluring and "exotic" choices on the menu, whether it's designer pancakes or red velvet waffles. The service is excellent and the restaurant is clean and inviting. Note that the portions are large (especially the pancakes), and pancakes can easily be shared. Who could eat all of them?? Downsides: the regular pancakes were perhaps the least tasty I... More

This Chicago based place has some of the largest and tastiest German pancakes in California. They bake the pancakes for 20 minutes and the seating is limited. But for $13 two can split one pancake and be satisfied. Our wait in line was worth it as we got the German pancake tip from San Diego natives in line with us.

Wow! I'm not normally a breakfast person but this place has fantastic food! There was a line out on the sidewalk and my impatient husband didn't want to wait but was glad we did! They move the line pretty fast and give people menus while standing in line so most everyone is ready to order the minute they sit down.... More

We went here based upon TripAdvisor recommendations and were not disappointed. We arrived about 9:30 am on a Friday and waited in a line of about 15 people for less than 15 minutes. They move people in and out very quickly...without making you feel rushed. The German pancake is recommended but it is HUGE. It looked like too much for... More
