Some of the best pancakes we have ever had. We ate at the La Jolla location and would definitely recommend eating there...just not on a Sunday as the line ups go on forever.

We showed up with a party of twelve. We discovered that this is a small place but after an hour wait they were able to seat us all together. Very thoughtful. They let us order while in line and when we sat down the food was there in five minutes. The pancakes were very good. The syrup was as thin... More

Richard Walker's is hands-down, my favorite breakfast location in the US. Anytime I have a San Diego layover and time permits, I will walk down the RW's for breakfast and coffee. The omelets are absolutely delicious, the pancakes melt in your mouth, and the coffee is even delicious. Just be sure to go early, because the restaurant is rather small,... More

I asked for scrambled eggs, nothing special, the bread taste like old oil, the orange juice is not fresh but the price is like fresh orange juice, nothing special to come back again , the service I say that they try to be nice but took so long for scrambled eggs, bad experience, I won't come back and I won't... The wait ended up being shorter then one would expect, the staff kept an eye on the line confirming what size the parties were. The only highlight for me was the coffee, it was very good. I ordered Eggs Benedict ($12.95) and K ordered a cinnamon roll pancake ($11.95) and the eggs came to the table first, nice presentation, Hash... More

I enjoyed the baked apple pancakes but could only finish about half of the generous plateful. But the wait staff failed to keep an eye on our drink glasses which slowed us down quite a bit. We needed refills on coffee and water and could not get their attention, so our food got cold while we waited. I won't go... More

There are a lot of things wrong with this place and am not talking about the 40 min wait to be seated. The host was very rude to us and kept making faces because for some reason he did not like the idea of us going there with our baby. Also the place is small and the tables are almost... More

I figured for a place that was called a pancake house, that the pancakes would be amazing, but I found them not that different from IHOP. I had the regular buttermilk pancakes though, not the baked apple pancakes in a pan that they also serve as the apple pancakes would take 20 minutes to bake and I didn't have the... More

Tried this place due to good reviews, and we weren't disappointed. Although a little pricey, the portions are generous. The bacon was super delicious, as was the French toast covered in strawberries and bananas. We'll be back!
