Description: Casa de Reyes offers awarding winning, world-class Mexican comfort food! Located within Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, you’ll enjoy traditional Mexican dining in a lush garden courtyard. There’s also free live entertainment, strolling mariachis, folklórico dancing, year-round events, and more! Casa de Reyes is located on the site of an adobe home built in 1823, one of the first adobe homes in San Diego. Our restaurant is named in honor of one of the home’s first owners, Doña Maria de los Reyes Ybañez de Dominguez. Doña Maria made her small, humble adobe a comfortable and welcoming home for friends and guests, and so do we.

I ate lunch at Casa de Reyes on September 19, 2014 while vacationing in San Diego. I arrived shortly before noon, and I was promptly seated and given a menu. My waitress, Renee, arrived within a few minutes, and I placed my order. I ordered 2 chicken tacos with refried beans and rice along with a Cadillac margarita. Renee came... More

Many years ago there used to be a good Mexican restaurant here. The only thing I can say good about this place is the atmosphere. My Cadillac margarita was small and watered down and tasted like a well drink. The shrimp fajita wrap tasted like frozen shrimp. Service was slow and over-priced. There are many better places in Old Town.... More

For eating, stay away from this restaurant. Walk around, take pictures, drink a margarita, sit and get entertained by the free shows, but " DO NOT EAT HERE". The worst Mexican meal we have had in a long time. They know most people coming to the restaurant are tourist, meaning chances are they are not returning anyway, so they don't... More

We went to Old Town just to grab a food as we were really hungry after a long road trip. When we saw the restaurant we decided to try and once we got in, what a nice surprise! The huge patio was crowded and it was so beautiful, sunny, people were so happy! The service was amazing, everybody was so... More

Old Town is one of the things we miss most about living in California. Old Town and AUTHENTIC Mexican food - the two go hand in hand. There are a bunch of choices for Mexican food in Old Town, but we have been coming here for years. The name has changed, but some of the same servers have been here... More

While we were touring Old Town San Diego we stopped for dinner at Casa de Reyes. Outdoor eating with music in the courtyard capped the day. Food was very good and the make a killer Mango Margarita.

First off......this restaurant is in Historic Old Town San Diego garden courtyard now know as "Fiesta De Reyes." In years past, this was known as the "Bazaar Del Mundo" and this location used to be occupied by our favorite Mexican restaurant, Casa Guadalajara....which now is located on Taylor Street. Anyway......we finally got around to trying the Casa De Reyes and... More
