Description: Casa de Reyes offers awarding winning, world-class Mexican comfort food...
Casa de Reyes offers awarding winning, world-class Mexican comfort food! Located within Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, you’ll enjoy traditional Mexican dining in a lush garden courtyard. There’s also free live entertainment, strolling mariachis, folklórico dancing, year-round events, and more! Casa de Reyes is located on the site of an adobe home built in 1823, one of the first adobe homes in San Diego. Our restaurant is named in honor of one of the home’s first owners, Doña Maria de los Reyes Ybañez de Dominguez. Doña Maria made her small, humble adobe a comfortable and welcoming home for friends and guests, and so do we.

Authentic Mexican

The indoor and outdoor areas are spacious and fun. The food is classic and delicious. This is the place to try a dish you haven't had before, or never heard of. You won't be disappointed. We had a girls day out and decided to try Casa De Reyes since the surrounding atmosphere was fun, they even have free Mex show/ entertainment while you are waiting for your table or you can walk around those unique boutiques killing for time. Waiting time wasn't bad for a Sat eve. We waited approx 10-20 min max. The hostess... More

The sadness of Old Town continues with this restaurant. It is some better than when the New York company ran it as a frontier brothel experience (or whatever that was) but now they just try to ripoff the past glory days, right down to the little dishes of salsa. It's factory Mexican food but that's quickly becoming San Diego's new... More

Not the best Mexican food but not the worst either. Fairly authentic but definitely a tourist trap type place. Portion sizes were not typical of a Mexican restaurant and the service left a lot to be desired.

We went to Casa de Reyes in Old Town on a rainy Sunday night. The patio was closed, but we waited for an indoor table (they don't have many). Once seated, we have a wonderful waitress who was in a good mood and brought us a pitcher of margaritas. Everything was quick and on point. Food was delicious and just... More

Gma and Gpa took us here for lunch. Great margaritas and authentic Mexican food. Ambiance is great with Mariachi band and did I mention the food. Great burritos, enchalads and tacos.

Mexican food, service was wonderful, food was great, it was nice to be with family on Mother's Day! The menu was quite extensive, and there was a children's menu for our grandson. They have a unique wait for tables: you leave a cell phone number and they text you, so you can roam among the shops or even back out... More

While it was a nice place for lunch on a hot day the size of the portions ordered were not really consistent as we ordered 2 Tacos with rice and beans. 1 Taco was well filled with shredded beef while the other has very little pork inside as well as very few vegetables. While that cost $12.99 there was a... More

We had the fajitas and they were very good. The pitcher of margaritas was fabulous. The pre-dinner salsa and chips were also very good. The salsa has a wonderful flavor. The service was very good too. Our six-year old was offered a free sundae if she could draw and color a picture on the back of her menu. We thought it... More
