Casa de Reyes offers awarding winning, world-class Mexican comfort food! Located within Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, you’ll enjoy traditional Mexican dining in a lush garden courtyard. There’s also free live entertainment, strolling mariachis, folklórico dancing, year-round events, and more! Casa de Reyes is located on the site of an adobe home built in 1823, one of the first adobe homes in San Diego. Our restaurant is named in honor of one of the home’s first owners, Doña Maria de los Reyes Ybañez de Dominguez. Doña Maria made her small, humble adobe a comfortable and welcoming home for friends and guests, and so do we.

Wonderful courtyard setting. Service is quite attentive and our breakfast burrito plates were quite good and loaded with various foods but so large we could not finish. We'd certainly go again.

We always make this stop when coming to Old Towne. I love the ambiance, to sit on the huge patio and have a margarita and good food. It's perfect for a visit. Good guacamole and salsa. The only downside is the bathrooms are so small and usually always dirty. Aside from that, it is worth it! There is lot!s of... More

We came here for breakfast and met some family. I was surprised that their combination meals started at $11.45 and up. **Large** portions were $13.45 and up. Kids meals were $5.99. A bit overpriced for Mexican breakfast? And you would think that for $11 plus, the portions would be "plus-sizes". Nope. They were small-to-regular portions. We're going elsewhere next time.

If you like Mexican food and if you like history, this is the place. Parked right in the corner of the historical Old Town park. The food was good and since we were early for lunch, it was not busy. We've been here in years past and it seems this restaurant has remained the same.

This is a wonderful open-air restaurant in the heart of historic Old Town. Warm and comfortable seating in a sprawling outdoor setting with umbrellas, fire pits, torches, and gas heaters; the menu is classic Mexican style with fajitas, enchiladas, skirt steak, and the like. I had the Surf and Turf, a tender marinated skirt steak grilled to perfection, with 3... More

The food was fine (we had carnitas and a shrimp salad), but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. They were handling huge numbers of people, so service was not as attentive as would have been helpful though when we got their attention they got our food out quickly. Our two margaritas (very sweet) were cost more than the... More

After wandering a lap around San Diego Old Town we settled on this place, the first that we noticed as the trek began. The service and good were very good. The chicken mole poblano sauce was excellent, very rich and dark. The margaritas were average. The verde sauce was very good.

I ordered a burrito with pork and chorizo. I like spicy food but this was EXTREMELY SPICY. Thank goodness the spicy fresh salsa was served on the side. With its fresh habanero peppers my mouth literally hurt after one taste. The service was just okay as was the food. I'm not a huge Mexican food fan but this place isn't... More
