I will have to agree with previous reviews-inside looks like an old Denny's type restaurant, huge portions of food, and beware of the chips & salsa (they are good & you can't finish even 1/4 of your meal!) This place is a local favorite. It's almost always crowded on weekends and the reason is the FOOD! Go for the carnitas or pollo asada plate! You can't eat it all! The chili rellano are cheesy delicious. They make a quesadilla with grilled eggplant on it that is so good that I order it every time I come!! Great place... More

The place itself it's like the 70s/80s called and want their decor back. Service was slow at first but after it was fast and good. They have typical mexican food menu, and have vegetarian and even vegan options if you ask. The plates are super big, you order a quesadilla, and it can feed a family of four! Loved the... More

Watch the chips and salsa, you'll fill up before the main course. Tasty food, odd atmosphere in the bar area. Looked like they do club night/live music. Has a 70's bar feel, really dark and gloomy, pleather padded bar rest.

Visited on a Tuesday in April with friend that had been there before. Service wasn't very good, food was average, prices were so so. Our friend was very disappointed and said it wasn't what she remembered. Ok place but really nothing to set it apart. Definitely better Mexican food in San Diego.Emphasis was more on the bar than on the... More

They give you a ton of food on your plate, so prepare to take home leftovers! The food was enjoyable, and the atmosphere relaxing. We were there for a later dinner, and we could hear the bands playing in the bar, which was a nice background music, as it was low.

I went with a large group and everyone had extraordinarily good food experience. The food is well prepared and authentic. Great atmosphere, too. I could eat there everyday as each item was reported to be "very good" by everyone in our party.

When visiting one of my close friends, he likes to have lunch here. He always orders the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and I try something different. This time I tried the Carnitas Enchiladas. A very pleasant surprise meal. It was very good and had a lot of meat inside the enchiladas. Nothing special regarding the red sauce (bland) draped over the... More

I've driven by this place often and always wondered.... My girlfriend and I finally decided to check it out recently and were not impressed. I was hoping to walk into a festive, fun mexican restaurant, with mexican decor... but honestly, it felt more like Denny's. I was not discouraged. I figured, ok, so the decor sucks, but maybe the food... More

Service was very good, carne asada fries with some salsa, good to go. I had carnitas plate, pork was excellent, very moist, although pretty mello but salsa took care of that. Wife had carnitas taco's, again with some salsa not too bad at all. Son had beef and chicken rolled taco appetizers, pretty darn tasty . Prices seemed reasonable, soooo... More
