I just arrived from a delayed flight and was looking for something quiet and simple. The restaurants I passed in the Gaslamp district were very noisy. I was seated immediately. The atmosphere was very quiet and pleasing. The spring rolls were surprisingly big, unlike others I had. Three spring rolls instead if the usual two. The cup of won ton... More

Really enjoyed the food. The dishes we requested "spicy" were nice and hot, but there were lots of options for those of our party who prefer their food more on the tame side.

Arrived at Rama 10 minutes prior to opening and was told we needed to wait outside. That was odd but easy to deal with. At exactly 5:00 the server came out and invited us in. We ordered the beef satay appetizer and had to send it back due to fat, gristle, and toughness. The flavor, however, was excellent. The server... More

This is a very nice restaurant and the food is amazing, the ambience is really nice and so exotic and sophisticated, but the hostess need to improve, she don't have any common sense, she is not kind and she never smile when you arrive, she don't make you feel welcome... Hope this can be better the next time, don't forget... More

The location is very convenient near the convention center and just off the gas lamp quarter. The meal was delicious. I ordered a papaya salad which I found to be as about authentic as a papaya salad can get. The flavor was right in, but the heat was nonexistent. I'll request heat In the future. I also enjoyed the panang... More

I stopped here why exploring the Gas Lamp district. I was quickly started since it was the start of dinner service. They have some outside dining on the side walk. I opted to eat inside. The Thai tea was good. I had the drunken noodles and was not impressed. I have had much better at a small carryout in a... More

Stopped in rather early in the evening after looking at their menu, which was posted outside. The hostess was friendly and I was seated right away. The menu is pretty limited as most Thai restaurants go, but there were a number of the "usual" dishes. I ordered the Pad Thai and it was a good portion, very flavorful and tasty... More

We eat out a lot and especially enjoy Thai cuisine. Rama is the best and reasonably priced, too. We enjoyed a green papaya salad, green cufrry and crispy fish. YUM!

My wife and I stopped here for dinner before the Paul McCartney concert. We were able to get seated rather quickly with out a reservation. Even though it was a very busy night in down town S.D. the restaurant didn't seem to be full or overflowing. We ordered drinks and after about 20 minutes the waitress, who was super friendly,...
