The food is delicious. The chef works with special diet needs and has a great attitude. Of special note - the fresh spring rolls, drunken noodles, eggplant and any of the curries. You can sit in the front of the restaurant to people watch the street scene, or opt for the back room with a waterfall and a more intimate... More

I was very pleased with the food and atmosphere. The food was fantastic, the waiter friendly and knowledgeable, and the portions were generous.

My husband and I like Thai - tonight, we tried Rama in the Gaslamp for dinner. The restaurant is open and airy, and as a patron, I felt a little like we weren't in the US...particularly while waiting for a menu. And waiting. And waiting. When we finally received a menu, we had plenty of time to review it. Once... More

This is my go to spot when I get to break free from the confines of suburbia and head downtown. The ambience is enchanting, the service is top notch, and the food and drinks are too. Wonderful for a date night or special occasion and be sure to sit in the dining room, it's a true dining experience.

We had a group dinner here, and we were pleased with the restaurant. The satay, roti bread with curry and larb were all quite tasty. The shaking beef was good, but not outstanding. But overall, more good than bad, so I'd recommend trying it out.

I love Thai food and went here on recommendation. The restaurant atmosphere is nice, well designed with seating open air streetwise as well. The menu selection was perfect, the bar a bit limited. We had the satay, pad Thai and shaking beef. The pad Thai was good, the shaking beef was prepared well although my daughter said she prefers mine... More

After walking out of another restaurant whose service was abysmal, I wound up at Rama. One of my biggest quests while traveling is to find amazing Thai and Rama didn't disappoint. Some of the best Tom Kha I have had an drunken noodles that were out of this world. Fast attentive service as well. I look forward to returning.

Short and sweet: great atmosphere, great food, great drinks and great service. Love it! Tip: If you're on a budget like I was, save some money by picnicking on the beach for a day or two and splurge on a nice, romantic meal at Rama. This place is full of romance and the food and memories are worth the cost.... More

Our group enjoyed eating at Rama Thai on a Saturday evening. We were immediately impressed by the Hip Decor that is unlike any restaurant I've ever seen which can only be explained as being mysteriously eclectic. The food at Rama Thai was incredible and not a morsel was left over after our meal. Also, I really appreciated that nearly all... More

This is wonderful and authentic Thai food. We went for lunch and loved the food. Wine selection was good. We would have gone for dinner if we had more time!
