My friend and I were attending a conference in San Diego and I choose Cafe Chloe after careful research, and was not disappointed. The ambience of the restaurant was like that of a Paris bistro. The wait staff was courteous, attentive, knowledgeable, but not over the top. The food was delightful - we both had the steak and fries -... More

We sat outside at a small three top and the service was wonderful. There were plenty of menu choices and a nice selection of wines. One of us had the pork chop, another the chicken, and another the lamb. We each loved our choices and were thrilled with the ongoing attention from staff. This is a great spot with lots... More

We had dinner here with friends (there were 4 of us) Saturday, March 29. It is located on the border of the Gas Lamp District and the East Village. They don't take reservations and I expected to wait but we were immediately seated, it was around 6:30 p.m. Everything on the menu looked good and it was hard to choose.... More

I have been to Chloe for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it never lets me down. It is without doubt the star of the Gaslamp. The atmosphere is great, inside and out and the food and wine are outstanding. These guys really know what they are about - a fantastic little business

Went with a friend for lunch during the week. It was packed! We were pleased with the service and laid back atmosphere. Food was good. If I am nitpicking... I had the mushroom crepe which was very good - the mushrooms were nice browned and earthy. The bechamel or sauce inside was also very good and went will with the... More

I went here for brunch on a Fri morning. I loved the decor and above all the music. It was a very pleasant way to spend a morning. The crowd is eclectic and the service is super. I had a bloody mary and the smoked haddock starter (which was plenty for me). Would I go back? Yes, definitely.

We went here based on a recommendation from the Hotel Indigo and were thrilled. This is an upscale cafe with superb food. The outside bistro tables provided a wonderful atmosphere and the staff were attentive and friendly.

Early dinner: sampled the bistro salad, steak frites and sea bass with roasted cauliflower. Bistro salad: VERY delicious: frisee texture, vinegar dressing, perfect poached egg, buttery croutons and warm lardons. Steak frites: well-executed. Sea bass: slightly over-buttered, but easy to forgive as nicely balanced with crispy skin, lemon, capers, carmelized onion and potato. Will be back for sure.

Had a lovely glass of wine and the Croque Madame. Sandwich comes with a lightly dressed fresh arugula side salad. Excellent crusty bread luscious mornay creamy egg and delicious ham. Sat outside on a lovely day but busy street noise detracts from the ambience

Went here for a dinner with my wife, we had a bottle of wine, appetizer, entree's, and finally dessert. We would have stopped after the entree, but the food was so delectable that we did not want to miss out on a sweet treat. Best idea ever, go have a few hours to relax and really enjoy a COMPLETE meal... More
