Went for a Friday night dinner with friends. Restaurant was full but noise level ok. Starters of sushi rolls and salads were excellent. Main courses were spaghetti with clams (delicious), sand dabs (a bit bland) and outstanding miso glazed salmon with even better sautéed spinach. Desserts of creme broule, ice cream and warm chocolate cake above average but not amazing.... More

Our son heard about this fish restaurant and we decided to have dinner one night while visiting the beach area in San Diego. All three of our fish dishes were excellent and super fresh. The restaurant is furnished nicely and they even have cloth napkins. I had a Mahi Mahi sandwich and it was really good. I ordered sour dough... More

Last dinner in San Diego before catching an early morning flight the next day. Also our last meal with some of our extended family members. We wanted something good, but not too heavy. This place fit the bill. From our hotel hear the airport, it was about a 20 minute drive. So not nearby. Entering the restaurant you could immediately... More

Dec 30th - Though the price of an average entree might be $30, you'll easily spend $50 per person. That said, the food, flavor and portions are nothing to rave about. The Mexican shrimp were huge, as they always are when authentic, but there were exactly four of them, the ownership counting on the accompanying rice to fill the belly... More

Been going here for nearly 14 years. Disappointed today at pricing and portion at lunch. Certainly not a value proposition any longer. Outstanding service and great neighborhood atmosphere, but you don't actually eat those.

This is a restaurant with its own fish market. We get to this area of San Diego once a year and this is a must go to restaurant. This time we went twice in five days specifically for the dungeness crab which was just in season. They keep a tank of live crabs; then boil, chill, clean and serve. And... More

A favorite of ours for the freshest seafood prepared to compliment the fish. On our recent stay in La Jolla, we ate here three times - two lunches and one dinner! Hard to find fresh fish and scallops so delicately prepared! This a favorite of ours.

This delightful restaurant is small, simple, popular and serves amazing fish. Their lobster bisque is my new favorite! It is creamy, full of taste and of course has fresh lobster bits that are delectable. They offer a menu with a nice variety of fish choices. Their sushi is fresh, tastefully designed and served. Their menu is reasonalbly priced. If you... More
