I liked this place. The food was good and it had a nice atmosphere. When you come to San Diego, you expect to get local seafood. The Fishery would have been better if it had a better choice of local beer and had at least one local fish item on the menu.

I went there for lunch and had the mussels as starter, plus the wild shrimp sandwich. Fish was really fresh and well cooked! The atmosphere was quiet and customers were mainly old people searching for some good food in a nice residential area.

Our family of ten enjoyed the great food and service at The Fishery. The halibut was among the best I've ever had. Everyone had a delicious dinner. The wait staff was attentive and patient with the children in our group. We did have reservations, which I think would be necessary on a busy night. Wish I lived closer to San... More

We love fish--especially that's fresh--and this is a great place for that! Our experience was very positive. A little pricey--but WELL worth it!!

Well arranged restaurant with fish counter for retail sale, sit at bar to eat, outside seating and normal inside (smart). Outstanding fish menu. Attentive service. Classy.

This is not a beach front restaurant, but is in Pacific Beach. We have eaten both lunch and dinner here and are always pleased. It is a little pricey, but not for the quality of food they serve. Interesting tuna tostadas, delicious shrimp tacos and the best ceviche!

The Fishery is the best restaurant that I've been to in years. The food was fresh and delicious--using seasonal fish and produce; the presentation was creative; the service was prompt and attentive. A simply fabulous and highly recommended experience.

We had a nice dinner with friends at The Fishery. It was tough finding a place to park on the street on a Saturday night, but I didn't downgrade my rating for this. It is a neighborhood restaurant, so the street parking is expected. I had the special (halibut cheeks), and it was very good. The server offered several gluten... More

Nice ambiance with fresh fish counter, open kitchen. Ordered Yellowtail in a nectarine barbeque sauce, excellent. Other person had macadamia crusted halibut, also excellent. Sides of potatoes were done well. Appetizer was ceviche, super fresh, served with tortilla chips and avocado. Other entrees seemed interesting. We are looking forward to returning.

Had a nice dinner here with my daughter and two of her friends. It's a nice restaurant (semi-casual) with a fish market. The decor is nice - lots of wood and fish and fishing pics on the wall (not tacky at all though). Sevice was quick, ample people and pleasant. Did get the feeling that he discounted us a bit... More
