Good seafood in a nice casual atmosphere

Enjoyed a nice dinner of fresh seafood and a good bottle of wine in this casual neighborhood place. The beet salad is very good. It was busy but not swamped on a weeknight at 7 but I think reservations would be a good idea in the summer.

The Mexican shrimp and Halibut we had were so good. The pineapple rice with the shrimp was very tasty. My wife had the Halibut and she was impressed with the taste and presentation. Local owned. Manager came by and asked where we were from and told us a little about the restaurant and its owners. They have their own fish... More

The fishery was highly recommended by the Pacific Terrace. A short uber ride away. The hotel is located off the Ocean in a very nice neighborhood. James was our waiter and he took wonderful care of us. The restaurant has a seafood market so you can look at the fresh catch of the day and make the hard decision of... More

Make a reservation if you can, even though we didn't wait to long. Food was creative and wonderful. Portion sizes were just right. Service was good and food was delivered quickly.

We had dinner at the Fishery a few times in the past and had meals that were OK. However, this past Thursday evening My Wife and I along with a visiting friend went there for dinner. Our friend had a fish and chips dinner which he liked although the potion of fish was fairly sparse. My wife ordered a fish... More

Searched for a seafood restaurant near Mission Bay and "The Fishery" had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. This is a favorite with locals. We didn't arrive until 8pm on a rare rainy evening in San Diego and were asked if we had reservations. We said no and had to wait over 30 minutes to get... More

This restaurant prides itself on simple and high quality seafood. It's off the beaten path and the small, clean and contemporary atmosphere makes it ideal for family or couples dining. It's quiet and intimate, and not on the normal tourist pathways which get overrun.

We were craving seafood so our hotel (Pacific Terrace) recommend The Fishery. Bar far the best meal we had on our trip. Everything tasted so fresh.

Great food and great service. Its a bit outside of the usual area for diners but well worth the effort.
