Went for dinner during the week and the place was very busy. We were seated quickly, service continued to be good throughout and the menu made it difficult to choose from. All in all the food was tasty, our drinks were always topped up and we had a fun evening to boot. Nice location too, can't go wrong.

I made reservations through Open Table for what looked like an incredible gastronomic experience for me and my family. Upon arrival, they had a list of specials at the entry. I'm allergic to seafood but the Chicken Tostada looked quite inviting, as did the Mahi Mahi for my sister-in-law. We were seated at a table close to the main door,... More

Best thing about this place is it's location. Came for a quick dinner before the tree lighting. They had tall kerosene heaters that took some of the chill down. Food was a bit pricey for standard fish tacos etc. Service and food were passable but not memorable.

We stopped in for lunch and found a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. We we seated at a table with a great view of the harbor. I had the fish and chips, the white was a firm fleshed and fresh piece perfectly coated in a beer batter. The fries were crispy and hot. My wife had crab stuffed shrimp, she loved... More

This was my third time dining at the Pier Cafe. Like the title says, I like this place. Located in San Diego's Seaport Village, The Pier Cafe resembles an old New England wharf house, overlooking San Diego Bay. The views at this restaurant are tremendous. The service is also excellent. My wife and dined this time to celebrate our 20th... More

The restaurant went out over the water and the salads and service was great. The cooked food was not good. The shrimp and fish were over cooked and difficult to eat.

Our favorite place to eat and the food is always great! No matter where you sit you have a good view. So glad you are still there!

We went here @ 3pm, the place was empty so we were seated at a perfect table overlooking the water. Unfortunately that's where the perfection ended. The mahi-mahi special was disgusting; it tasted horribly "fishy" & was smothered in what seemed to be processed marmalade with some fresh mango thrown in. I couldn't even eat it. The rice was cold... First time in SD. Strolling the waterfront, and decided to try this place. Glad we did. I had the walnut crusted mahi mahi. My wife had tuna. Both served with rice and mixed vegetables...both cooked to perfection. Service was pretty good, too.
