During a family vacation we made reservations at Arrivederci based on a recommendation from another family member. The restaurant is located in the Hillcrest section of San Diego. It has outdoor seating and a few tables inside. The décor was casual Italian without a feel of pretentiousness one may experience in some other restaurants. The service was very friendly and... More

We had a fantastic cioppino on Saturday at this lively restaurant in Hillcrest. Our server JR was attentive and friendly. The Barbera by the glass was delicious. We sat outside, where the noise is more manageable and at 6:30 after a movie nearby it was perfect!

This is the best little eatery. Terrific food. Busy, electric atmosphere. Walking distance from all the Hillcrest hotels and b&b's. The pork ossobucco is amazing with the tastiest rissotto.

Been coming here whenever I'm in San Diego. My favorite for years was the Risotto Nero with squid ink and bay scallops. Half the fun was watching the other diner's faces when they brought the jet black dish to my table. It is VERY tasty! I also like the Fettuccine bel Paese and I've had the veal chop and steaks.... Been here for lunch with some friends. They have a good lunch menu with fair prices. Can't say anything bad, but also nothing special.

Nice restaurant, good setting and location with ample parking near by! The chicken pasta was a,az in but the salmon was a bit fishy and overpowering. Waiters were helpful and service was good. Worth a visit- avoid the salmon pasta

Terrific Italian food. I started with a salad and then had the spaghetti with artichokes, sausage, and zucchini. It was delicious. The service was friendly and professional. A small cozy room with a nice casual feel. I highly recommend.

We made a huge mistake in having a late lunch and then coming here. We were served bread with a tomato dipping sauce, simply delightful. The calamari and zucchini appetizer were excellent! We were pretty much full after that. We shared a pasta dish and a chicken dish, both were good but we couldn’t enjoy them fully since we were... More

Do not look for run of the mill spaghetti and meatballs here, there is a huge amount of excellent italian choices that real italians eat. The service is outstanding, all italian folks ready to meet your needs. Delicious and very large portions. This place is not huge, but room enough was found for our party of 7 on a busy... More
