We had breakfast at World Famous, it was delicious! We had the Epic French toast made from focaccia bread, raspberry pure with whip cream and the Prime Rib hash, scrambled eggs with chunks of prime rib, potatoes and veggies. Breakfast was so good we went back for dinner. Had the cioppino and potato wrapped white seabass, both were fantastic! Our only... More

This place in Pacific Beach continually is a great place for breakfast or dinner, with great views. Food is always first class.

My husband and I don't like to spend a lot on food on vacation. That is why we loved World Famous. They have happy hour food specials Mon - Thurs and the food is pretty god. Not fancy - but good. The drinks are not overpriced and good, too. We did eat breakfast on Sunday which was delicious!! If you... More

Kind of a cheesy name to begin with but went because of recommendation of a friend. Food was awesome and reasonably priced. Crab and shrimp Martini is a misnomer as it is really more like a ceviche including tortilla chips but super yummy none-the-less. Fresh fish plates were delicious. Didn't stay for dessert because we were stuffed. We were seated... More

This restaurant is right on the Boardwalk in Pacific Beach (San Diego). The service is wonderful, the staff is excellent. Be prepared to wait for a table especially if it is a weekend in summer. However, the wait is worth it when you have the Pacific Ocean to view while you wait. The Eggs Benedict are to die for!

Great food and drinks right at the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Come and wait for a bar area table or use Open Table. Busy restaurant. Really like our server Aly and bartender Steve.

The best way to enjoy this restaurant is to dine as the sunsets over the Pacific. We had dinner on Sunday May 26 at 7:30 pm which was the perfect time to eat the appetizers as the sun set. We were a party of 4 and each had a different entree. While the food was good, fresh seafood, none of... More

My wife and I ate at World Famous twice while staying in San Diego, and both times thoroughly enjoyed the food. Sat in the patio area, which is glassed in and covered, so no worries with the wind off the ocean, but a good view of the beach and waves. Really enjoyed the dishes that we ordered (I had the... We spent a week on Mission Beach in a condo that thankfully had cooking facilities. On the first night we just thought we'd walk along Mission Blvd and walk-in somewhere to eat diner. We couldn't find anything but sleazy 60's beach style greasy joins. Disappointed, we asked for referral for the next day. A couple were offered, one for breakfast... More
