Had another wonderful meal at Buon Appetito one of the better bargains in SD's Little Italy. The eggplant appetizer was a great start and the good bottle of Italian wine recommended by our waiter (Valdistanti) complemented it well. Our main dishes of veggie lasagna and chicken parmasian were similarly well prepared and tasty. Finally the service on a busy Friday... More

This restaurant was delicious for breakfast. GET THE PANCAKES, you won't regret it. Located in the heart of Little Italy, and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. My only complaint is that the service was a little slow. Other than that it was perfect. I would definitely recommend it to a friend!

This is he second time I have been here, and the food was just as magnificent, but the service even friendlier. Authentic Italian, as are most of the employees. Suggest reservations. I look forward to returning very much, as I believe the food quality to be unmatched in Little Italy, or anywhere else, for that matter, except for the possibly... More

We stopped here on our Trolley Tour of San Diego, after the recommendation of the trolley driver, and we were NOT disappointed. I had the polenta, which is listed as an appetizer, but it was enough for a lunch entree, and was simply delicious! My husband ordered fettucine primavera (I think that was it) and he enjoyed his meal also.... More

My husband and I had a reservation and arrived a bit early. The hostess was miserable, but the owner was a very nice man. Hopefully he can train her to be kind and curteous to guests. Regardless of the negativity from the hostess, we had a wonderful mean. The Cioppino was sensational! The seafood was fresh and flavorful and the... More

I can easily say it's been over 30+ years since I've had excellent Cippino. This jewel among jewels in Little Italy San Diego Restaurant Row stands out. The combination of mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops and fresh fish sautéed in a savory tomato broth is mouthwatering... and palate pleasing. The service is awesome and the owner and staff go out of... More

I'm not going to carry on too long here, just go eat here. We were walking through Little Italy while on vacation and decided to eat here. Being the picky foodies that my wife and I are we weren't sure what to expect for the very reasonable prices and large portions. I had the ossobuco ( lamb shank ) and... More

The biggest problem we had on Feb 17th, was deciding WHICH Italian restaurant to try amongst the many offerings in San Diego's Little Italy strip on India Street. We did not regret our choices at Buon Appetito, which surprisingly was absolutely packed on a Monday night in February! We did, fortunately, have the foresight to make a reservation. My husband... I really wanted to like this restaurant because it is very charming and the wait staff are attentive and menu interesting. But the food was just ok; I had a New York Steak which was not very good, my husband's sea bass was average and another diner in our party had a pasta with not a very good white sauce.... More
