Went last night for dinner. DW had Veal Piccata, granddaughter-in-law had mussels & shrimp with linguini, I had Linguini Boscamaro (with shrimp and scallops. All were excellent. The waiter and service staff were very attentive. The sauce was especially good on all the dishes. Home-made cannoli for dessert was also excellent. Went on our last visit in Sept. and will... More

A great Italian restaurant on the streets of Little italy in San Diego. Be sure to sit ion the patio. Cramped but well worth the experience. Excellent service. Very friendly and knowledgable. Large portions and good prices. Pasta dishes to die for. Fabulous Veal Marsala. $15 corkage so bring your own wine. A must when you are in san Diego!

We just had a very tasty 'Filetto al pepe verde'. However a part from the house wine which was a little bit too young, the service was incredibly rude and unfriendly, there was a clear feeling of being not welcome there (i.e. the dishes being taken away literally after one second after having finished dining!). The fact that 18% tip... More

Stayed nearby and was recommended by our bellhop, the food was so good we went back two nights later! Little Italy is a nice way to spend an evening in San Diego. Walked the streets and stopped at a bar near by while we waited for our table. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Loved being in an Italian... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego, and I come here every time I visit the city. I am never disappointed. The food is always fresh, prepared to order, served in a timely manner that allows one to enjoy each course. The staff are all outgoing, engaging, and most of them are Italian. There are a reasonable... More

Wow! We had the best time at Buon Appetito. Our waiter was amazing and had very good recommendations for the wine list. The food was delightful. For two couples we had appetizers, entrees, cocktails and two bottles of wine and our bill came to $90 for two people plus tip. Great value for quality service, would return again in a... More

Enjoyed a very nice meal in Little Italy last night Buon Appetito. All four of us had different dishes: lasagna (full of meat and vegetables), osso bucco w/risotto, salmon farfalle, and seafood rotini. Enjoyed the mozzarella and tomatoes appetizer. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helped us pick a good Italian wine from Tuscany. A must visit if you're in... More

Asked the concierge at Marriott Marquis for best Italian food.... Yes. This was scrumptious. Every course. Every bite. ( one thing... Although we had a reservation for the main room, we got put in the wine bar. Atmosphere is attempted authentic. ) however, the food and service was excellent.

I'll make it short. Food = excellent Service = excellent Atmosphere = Extremely loud! We're low maintenance and generally tolerant people, but this runined our evening. We litterally couldn't hear each other across the table. Several tables were comprised of loud, rude, inconsiderate patrons and management did nothing about it. We watched one couple get up and leave due to the... More
