A cozy place in the heart of Little Italy. Even when the place was packed we didn't have to wait. Service was excellent and fast. I tried the farfalle with salmon and it was amazing. The portion was generous and really tasty. A must visit.

Arrived at the restaurant 1 minute before closing after a flight from the east coast. Place was still packed (and they seated more after us). Often at closing the service is poor and the food is second rate but not here-we got top notch service and the food was fresh, hot and yummy. Between the 3 of us we had... More

My friend and I came for dinner and it was totally worth the 40 minute wait! (We went for gelato while we waited). He had the cioppino, which was delicious, I had the duck fusilli, which was good, but not as good as his. We had wine and I took home tiramisu, to eat for breakfast the next day. The... More

We dined on a Sunday night. Crowded but we had reservations. Superb service. Relaxed but attentive. The four of us had three different entrees off the daily specials menu. Each one incredible but the osso Bucco pork was the best! Love that you can bring your own wine and just pay a small corkage fee. Highly recommend it.

Loved the fantastic menu selection and most helpful staff! Located in Little Italy and so many restaurants to choose from - choose this one - you won't be disappointed. Can be a bit of a wait but well worth it!

We wanted some Italian in little Italy during our trip to San Diego. This restaurant is authentic and delicious. Highly recommend the homemade pasta dishes.

My wife and I were looking for a quality Italian meal. We were visiting from South Carolina. One of the San Diego residents referred us there. One of the servers DROP a basket of bread on our table. NO greeting. The "main" server takes our drink order. He is gruff and possess no bedside manner. Than a third server comes... More

This was my third visit to Buon Appetito and again I was not disappointed. It has been a while since my husband and I had eaten here so I was excited when friends invited us to join them for dinner. I love the bruschetta here; it's loaded with garlic (the way I like it) and very flavorful. I ordered the... More

We visited this place for dinner and it was very busy so had to wait 20 minutes for a table to come free - glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing, the best Italian we'd had a in a while. The ravioli and risotto were faultless. The only downside to this place was the service. Out server wasn't very... More

Finally a good authentic Italian place. It is in the middle of little Italy, as appetizer we got an excellent antipasto of Italian dry meat, cheese and olives. As they did not have the drink we asked for the waiter recommended an excellent Moscato, the pastas were al dente, excellent service, good wine. The pesto was to light in taste... More
