Nice find in Little Italy!

Ordered the pork Osso Bucco and it was great. Tender falling off the bone and served with a heap of creamy risotto. My wife and daughter both had pasta dishes one with sausage and peppers and the other was a seafood pasta with Shrimp and Scallops that both looked great and tasted great too. Wine... read more

So my colleagues and I arrived after a long day of meetings, a Monday night and we are from out of town so we didn't make reservations. Turns out this place had a wait, so we waited, we waited for 30mins and while we waited we checked on other restaurants in the area... we learned they all had a wait.... More

Food was unbelievable and wine was great! I would recommend trying this place as it's amazing and a street down from the Urban Boutique hotel.

I was there as part of a very large group on a business dinner. The large group room was a bit noisy, making conversation difficult. I had the lasagna- very classic comfort presentation. Other dishes at the table looked very good, particularly the risotto in a Parmesan bowl.

the best Italian i've had in San Diego. I go here most every time i'm in town. Nice restaurant for taking clients and a nice outdoor patio to enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather. The veal ossobucco is amazing.

Nothing over the top. Shared Polento with mushroom gravy. Not bad. Soft well cooked. tasty but nothing fantastic. Bread unimpressive but red dipping sauce good. Service attentive. Bought main course when still on appetizer. Hate that! Oh well appetizer wasn't that good anyway. Had bolognase and again which was just ok. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. Wasn't given an option... We took a valued Italian friend and colleague to this restaurant based on its reputation. It did not live up to its press. The restaurant is small and somewhat dated. Service is friendly and a tad familiar. We ordered a burrata and arugula salad that was good, polenta that was astonishingly delicious, and a seafood pasta, which was nice but... More

Walked down from Ballast Point to have a nice Italian dinner. Sat us at a table inside but the sun was making incredible glare in my face. We asked if they would lower the shade but they said they couldn't? We asked for another table & were told it would be a while. We were going to wait but then... More

We had a very enjoyable meal at Buon Appetito. I highly recommend it when in Little Italy. The atmosphere is upscale without an enormous tab. I do suggest the veal ravioli as it was unique and tasty. The bread and dipping sauce are also not to be missed.
