Second visit to San Diego staying in the Gas Lamp and love this bar to chill with a cold lager and as much free chips and dips that u want. Bar staff friendly abd kept your glasses topped up, not any more i can ask for. When i return to San Diego I wil be back

The margaritas were great and the chips and salsa bar were so good! Cannot say enough about this restaurant..It is Wonderful!!!

I was attending an event at the Convention Center and was walking around the Gaslamp District looking for a place to have a late lunch/early dinner. I do enjoy Mexican food so Rockin Baja Lobster was where I decided to go. I sat at a high top table by myself and while I prefer to have a dining companion, I... More

My son and I ate here on a recent visit to San Diego. We did not have full meals, just appetizers. The salsa bar was ok, nothing to write home about. Our appetizers were filling and fine, as well. Nothing really stood out except the atmosphere. The lighting and outdoor area was festive, and I bet it is a fun... More

But a LOT of it....a bit loud if you are hoping to have a quiet conversation. Nice area to walk, huge portions, delicious fresh salsa in many varieties.

The salsa bar was my personal fave part. The Mango margarita.... Also amazing! But the service lacked. It took over an hour to get our food, then when it came they forgot my... More

Great food, lively atmosphere, free postcard picture of your party, and a fantastic salsa bar to explore! Right in Old Town but don't pay for parking or walk miles, they have their own lot if you drive right into where the restaurant is.

I get back to San Diego about twice a month now, I lived here from 1998 till 2003 and Rockin Baja Lobster is still my favorite restaurant. Does not matter if I am there for Happy Hour in the bar or for dinner with friends and family in the main restaurant the food and the atmosphere are fantastic. Happy Hour... More

The food was good, but portions were too large. I know that can seem like an odd criticism, but the burrito I had was hanging off the edge of the plate which was almost twice what I needed. Burritos aren't the best reheated so taking half the burrito with me wasn't as great as it could have been. I would... More
