But a LOT of it....a bit loud if you are hoping to have a quiet conversation. Nice area to walk, huge portions, delicious fresh salsa in many varieties.

We visited this place to celebrate a friends birthday. The atmosphere is incredible... Very unique place with great live music . The good was also very good.... The salsa bar was my personal fave part. The Mango margarita.... Also amazing! But the service lacked. It took over an hour to get our food, then when it came they forgot my... More

Great food, lively atmosphere, free postcard picture of your party, and a fantastic salsa bar to explore! Right in Old Town but don't pay for parking or walk miles, they have their own lot if you drive right into where the restaurant is.

I get back to San Diego about twice a month now, I lived here from 1998 till 2003 and Rockin Baja Lobster is still my favorite restaurant. Does not matter if I am there for Happy Hour in the bar or for dinner with friends and family in the main restaurant the food and the atmosphere are fantastic. Happy Hour... More

The food was good, but portions were too large. I know that can seem like an odd criticism, but the burrito I had was hanging off the edge of the plate which was almost twice what I needed. Burritos aren't the best reheated so taking half the burrito with me wasn't as great as it could have been. I would... More

We ate an early lunch here yesterday, Saturday August 9th @ 11:30ish a.m. Although the food was good and our waitress was very nice....... When we arrived we asked to sit on the patio..... The look we received from the hostess was uncalled for..... but she did sit us on the patio. When I ordered my drink I said: "I'd... More

We had a dinner of some great half price appetizers and drinks. They had a great long island ice tea. Very good Calamari. Outstanding fish tacos.

Was here for a party (Wedding Rehearsal dinner) and enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks and food. A good-sized casual bar and restaurant and is located very close to Old Town. The service staff was very friendly, personable and responsive and did a good job of taking care of the group. Food was served buffet-style and seemed to be enjoyed by all... More

We were staying in Old Town and the one there is VERY friendly, good drinks, great food and a nice family friendly place to hang after a long day at ComicCon. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the chat with the barkeep. I would definitely go again.

This restaurant had an excellent selection of choices on the menu. Everything from appetizers to desserts were well priced. The portions were ridiculous! And while you wait for your meal there is a complimentary salsa bar with fresh chips. The mango salsa was great! Service was quick and the staff was super friendly.
