My b/f and I loved this place. Big portions, the prices are cheap and the people are nice. They make breakfast burritos so big he can't even finish it himself, so we would split it. I think it cost us about five dollars.

We chose this place based solely on reviews and Kono's did not disappoint us. Huge portions! The scrambled eggs, french toast, and potatoes clearly stand out. A sign in the dining room states they haven't raised their prices in over 3 years. That is amazing. I would definitely eat here again.

OK, the plates are made of paper. So are the cups. The cutlery is plastic. But the portions are huge, the quality of the ingredients high and the prices are a joke - a good joke.

Want a great, inexpensive breakfast? This is the place. We had two breakfast burritos and sat outside looking at the ocean. Nothing fancy, nothing big...just great breakfast. We noticed a line of locals and tourists inside this little place and decided that we had to check it out. Glad we did.

We drove by this place a couple times and were deterred by the long lines. Finally, kids were up early and we decided to head out and try it. Food was pretty good, in a basic breakfast kinda way. Nothing fancy or special about the food. Scrambled eggs are scrambled eggs, pancakes plain ol' flapjacks. The atmosphere was busy and... More

Spent Thanksgiving weekend at PB walking distance to this Restaurant. I have to admit I am not known for my patience. When I saw the line out the door to this place I thought no way. Well needless to say I was talked in to waiting in line and I am so glad I did .We ate breakfast here every... More

We went here on our first morning in Pacific Beach - about 7am as we were jet lagged and couldn't sleep in! Such friendly staff and customers - we felt like locals by day 2. Gorgeous pancakes, french toast and burritos! And fab coffee. We went back each day of our holiday!

While in San Diego recently on business, I headed over to Pacific Beach to catch the early morning surfers and enjoy the beach in its quiet hours. By about 9:30, when I was ready for breakfast, the line at Kono's was out the door, which looked like a good sign. I had the Egg Burrito #1, with sausage, avocado, cheese,... More
