Just had one of their breakfast burritos and coffee, but both were really good. Burrito actually lasted two days---they are really huge! Service is very friendly here. I arrived before the rush, apparently. After 8am or so, there's a line out the door and around the building! Get there early!

The food is GOOD and the place is CLEAN. Scrambled eggs are light, fluffy and moist, but not wet. There is cheddar cheese on it as served. It does not need salt or pepper, but there's hot sauce available for those who like it spicy. Pancakes are light and has that little stretch that makes pancakes perfect. I'm a pancake... More

I'm not going to build this place up as the best there ever was or is. It's just the best spot to get quick, quality and consistent breakfasts that are huge in PB. The prices are truly a value. I think the burritos are the best, but there are huge combination breakfast with the works. My kids always get a... More

I had been to Kono's years ago on my first trip to San Diego and remembered what an amazing breakfast they have. It was everything I remembered & wanted. A huge & delicious breakfast! So much food, you won't leave hungry. Best breakfast in San Diego hands down!

Almost don't need to review this place, since I'm just re-iterating what everyone else says. The local in line in front of us recommended the French toast and bacon. My wife's usual everywhere is French toast and she said it was great. The local emphasized the "bacon", and she was right - really good. Big portions (the 300+ pound local... More

What a breakfast. I'm still full! Don't worry about the line around the corner, it moves fast. Hubby and I both enjoyed a "Little" Breakfast with eggs, Kono Potatoes and toast, then we added avocado, cuz we needed some health to the order. Next time I'll add bacon, too. Or maybe a burrito... Kono potatoes have cheese, onions and green... More

Super portions, great food, very friendly staff, comfortable seating area. There are usually lines waiting to order food, but they move pretty quickly.

My dad taught me a long time ago, ask a cop where to eat.. Well, we were tooling around one morning looking for a place to go, and I saw a motorcycle cop in a 7 eleven parking lot so we whipped in and I asked him where to go. He first recommended "The Mission" which we also really like,... More

This place is always PACKED. I was so hungry and was not pleased about a line around the building on a Sunday morning, but the group convinced me to stay! Well worth it! Had a HUGE brekky burrito with sausage green chilies, egg and seasoning. Bit too big or just got bored with it after the 100th bite, but lovely... More

This is a cool little place. Get there early or stand in line for awhile. there is indoor as well as outdoor seating. If the area north of the restaurant is full there is additional eating behind the store in front of the café. Make sure they know you are there so they can find you with your order. Their... More
