If you love burgers...

If you're a burger lover this will now be the burger all other burgers will be compared too. Great quality meat and toppings. Amazing onion rings. It is a lot of food for a great price. For those who said no flavor...this isn't a burger loaded with a lot of rubs and spices. The great quality meat... read more

I consider myself a burger perfectionist and critic. I have eaten burgers in 44 states and to date bar none Hodads was the best burger that I have ever eaten. I promise you that once you have eaten one of their burgers you will forget the rest.

I'm at a mindset these days that has me eating a hamburger no more than a few times a year, yet I had high expectations of this place. One thing I really likes was the variety of burgers (and that's pretty much all they have) and the loyal fan-base they have, which can make for great conversation with strangers at... More

A nice burger joint very near the beach. It was REALLY crowded on a cloudy Sunday afternoon (2 PM). The line was around the corner of the restaurant. It took us about 30 minutes to get seated. Was it worth it? Yes! Very good burger/fries/onion ring combination. Beer was served in Mason jars. A nice touch. Enjoy.

I saw Hodad's mentioned on DDD and gave it a try. The actual size of the bacon cheeseburger is MASSIVE! The crispy bacon will not disappoint but as for the burger itself, it was kind of blah. No real flavor, not juicy, just kind of plain jane. My boyfriend had the Guido burger, and despite the amount of pastrami he... More

Went to this restaurant with high expectations...and all I can say is "WOW"! The Burger was delicious and the "frings" were the bomb!!! I ordered "the blue jay" burger and it was off the hook!!! The onion rings were some of the best I've ever had!!! Our server "Adron" was attentive and awesome making our first experience at Hodad's one... More

I was in San Diego last week and had a place highlighted to try. I saw Hodads on Triple D. I had a burger and it was okay. It had no flavor to it. Little disappointed.

What can I say except this is a must if you go to San Diego! The burgers are definitity one of the best I have had. And the selection of burgers ... you will want them all. The fries & onion rings add a special touch to the burger. And dont forget to try a homemade milkshake

This place was voted by DDD viewers as having the best burger and I have to agree. We tried the "Guido" as well as a burger with bacon - both were unbelievable. The long line attests to the popularity and the food itself. Definitely worth the wait. And Ocean Beach is such a cool surfer town - you have to... More

You can't eat at Hodad's very often without expecting your waistline to expand and your arteries to harden. But every once in a while, you really crave a great cheeseburger. Not one of those chain attempts, but a real greasy, juicy burger with all the condiments. If that's what you want, Hodad's is the place. Be prepared at the Ocean... More
