Crazy busy, but good. Had the single with cheese and a shake. It is more than enough food. A must go.

My favorite is the blue cheese burger with sauteed onions and potato wedges on the side! Decent beer selection, too.

We went here recently on a trip to San Diego and ate here for my son's 12th birthday. We had a great time - staff was fun and friendly, we sat overlooking the street, and burgers and shakes were awesome! Love Hodad's!

The line was out the door and it took about 30min to get a table. Once inside, the service was efficient and friendly. Food was very good. When adjusting for the price, it was an excellent value. By any measure the Guido burger (loaded burger with pastrami) was the winner followed by the chocolate shake. A wonderfully eclectic crowd that... More

What a cool spot to grab a fantastic burger and enormous milk shake. Just down the block from the beach this fun surf burger shack with Surf board seats, private Van Booth and awesome atmosphere makes this a great spot for a quick bite or to gather with friends. Quick friendly service. Highly recommended for a good time in San... More

When there is line out the door hours on end you know you have to hop in line and see what the fuss is all about...Let me just say that Hodad's holds up to the fuss! The burgers were juicy and extremely large! The fries and onion rings were yummy too. If you are in the San Diego area this... More

Yes, it's just burgers, fries, and onion rings. But yes, they are DELICIOUS burgers, fries, and onion rings! We didn't want to stuff ourselves for the late lunch we were having, so we shared the bleu cheese burger and a small order of onion rings. PLENTY of food for both of us. Delicious and not greasy.

Stopped here with my sons for some burgers. I had a mini bacon cheeseburger. It was very tasty. The fries were good too. My son had the Blue Jay burger with lots of blue cheese. He liked his also. The place is a hole in the wall with lots of car license plates on the walls. The service is good... More

The line always seems to be long at Hodads, but it do not let it intimidate you, it moves very quickly. The burger was good, the bacon cheese burger was definitely better than the plain. The tomatoes were amazing, fresh and delicious. The fries were heavily seasoned and really reminded me of a drive through curly fry. The onion rings... More

Saw this on Diners, Drive in's and Dives a while back so thought we'd check it out whilst in San Diego. When we first walked in I did think "What are we doing here?". When the food came out I knew why we were there - it was awesome! The burger was so big - and, as my daughter said... More
