We've been to this restaurant a number of times when it was known as Spices. We went again this Sunday, and it is now called Pailin. We were amused when we read their ad that stated "Same owner, same menu, same hours, better service"! So why change the name? Anyway, having traveled in Thailand... read more

This was formerly Spices Thai Cafe, in fact even though the sign on the building has changed to reflect Pailin Thai, the paper placemats still show Spices Thai. We used to love going here when it was Spices, but the place has gone downhill. There is dirt everywhere you look, starting with the restroom door around the handle. Dirt in... More

I love the lunch portion of their chicken pad thai. The lunch includes soup, salad and egg rolls. Yummy!

I eat here for lunch during weekdays occasionally. The service is always fast, friendly, and the food is very good. My favorite lunch special dish is the chicken pad thai noodles. It comes with tom ka soup, some fried appetizers and a small salad. I've been to the one in Del Mar as well and it was equally good.

I visited SoCal over the week, hiked Blue Sky Trail and after the hike, a lunch was in order. I selected Spices Thai Cafe. The staff was very nice. It looks like a family owned business. The price was very reasonable, the place was very clean and orderly and the food was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good Thai food, nothing fancy, but decent Thai food served in a reasonable amount of time and very tasty and at a reasonable price. I had a noodle dish (see eyew noodles) with chicken, which comes with salad and those little fried spring rolls and wontons. My husband had Pad Thai and said it was very good also. We... More

The best Thai food in San Diego. Love the quality and consistency. Never ate there, just taken it to go but no one can beat the delicious taste.

I never read any reviews before coming here. I went here with a friend to lunch and he picked this place as it was close to his office. I just read some of the reviews and some are really horrible and some are really great. The truth is that it's somewhere in the middle. Absolutely nothing special at all and... More

Went solo (out here on business). Wonder Thai food and very kind wait staff. Had the Penang curry shrimp and the House soup. Both were delicious. Quick, kind and tasty, what more can you ask for?

I just took my boss and his wife here for dinner. I chose this restaurant because it is consistently excellent and everything on the menu is tasty. The service is great and friendly. My boss loved the food and wanted to come back.
