So many choices, so little time at bottomless brunch

We decided to go out for Sunday brunch last month when my son was visiting town. Our requirements included a place that served brunch later than the usual 2 p.m., and also a buffet-style restaurant rather than the type of place where you order a "brunch item" from the menu. No, we wanted many... read more

Romantic spot for lovers or aircraft enthusiasts. Do not go on Friday night unless you like the bar crowd. Go early for the special. It includes an ice cream and coffee or tea. Our waiter Victor was fab. My daughter drew a picture for him and he took real good care of us.

We have gone to the 94th Aero Squadron many times and have been very impressed with the vintage country French airport ambiance. It is situated adjacent to Montgomery Field, an airport used primarily for private aviation. Its location, away from most San Diego restaurants, may deter some diners, but, aside from the predictable happy hour, there is usually adequate parking.... More

The decor is that of a farm house mid World War One. The food is top rate broiler fare - steaks, prime rib, pork chops, chicken dishes, and fish. Salads and soups are good, too. This restaurant is well known for its buffets. But, one can order from a fine menu for either lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable for... More

My husband and adult son had appetizers and drinks outside while watching planes fly by as well as checking out the planes, ambulance, and ducks in the back yard. Inside was so has so much history, we sat in the bar area for a while as well. We shared crab cakes, fried zucchini, and prime rib bites. It was all... More

Very slow and nonchalant service - we had to continually flag down our server for utensils, refills and the check. Our food was D grade quality. Our party of four adults all ordered the crab and shrimp Louie salad - 3 shrimp, no more than a tablespoon of canned crab meat, wilted lettuce and limp asparagus. And although it was... More

Restaurant and grounds full of ambience and history...would always be a pleasant dining experience. Prices are average and food is same although our companions rave about Sunday buffet.

We enjoyed the ambiance and good food and service. Buffet from Monday to Friday is about $13/ per person. Children 4yo to 10 yo is half priced. Quite a variety is offered at the buffet table with ham, chicken, roast beef, fish, pasta, sausage & mashed potatoes, salad with artichoke, mushroom, fresh fruits, clam chowder, roll. The dessert table offered several... More

We have come here before as a couple. Today we came with the extended family for a graduation celebration. They were able to accommodate us with a reservation. There was no added service fee or gratuity attached for having a group of 9 people. The main reason we came here was the the ambiance. It is located next to Montgomery... More
