Went for lunch here... didn't know these still existed. Had a simple Cobb Salad. Tasted great. Sat outside for lunch and I think the wait staff forgot about me. That said, had a great view of runway so watched various bi-planes, Cirrus and Cessna aircraft doing touch and goes for the hour I sat there. If I return, it's for... More

We sat outside around 6pm on a Sunday- we were the only two out there so it felt very private. The atmosphere is unique, with the memorabilia everywhere. The service was slow, but that allowed us to have a leisurely meal and talk. I would go again, but for one alcoholic drink, two steaks, one dessert, and coffee, the bill... More

Well so unexpected! The 94th aero squadron restaurant sits off Balboa Avenue and is an "Island|" of WW1 nostalgia. As a Brit' to see replica SE1A's and a Fokker Triplane in modern San Diego set in a mock French farmhouse environment required a "second take".....VERY UNEXPECTED. Putting aside the mock reality they have some very interesting black and white photographs... More

Our party of 4 decided to stop here for a late lunch. We were greeted by the hostess and then subjected to a small quarrel between two female servers about which one of them should get our table. It was not very professional but we just ignored it and went to our table overlooking the runway. The décor is vintage... More

Large Sunday brunch buffet for $23.00/person with free complementary (endless refills) of champagne. The food is delicious. Fluffy, buttery scrambled eggs. Made to order omelette bar. Amazing cappuccino bar with an assortment of delicate tea cookies. A mountain of pastries and muffins. Volcanoes of fruits. Dinner items are also served during this brunch. Mountains of fresh crab, sushi and ham.... More

We had been hearing for years about the Sunday brunch from family. It was so built up, I was afraid of being disappointed. I am relieved to say the buffet was amazing and the steady flow of mimosas didn't hurt. Was everything the best I've eaten? No. It's a buffet. However, the shear amount of food choices were jaw dropping.... More
