Go for the Mango Margaritas. Stay for the Ceviche

When a friend learned that I was going to San Diego, she told me that I absolutely had to go to Casa Guadalajara because they have the best Mango Margaritas ever. Well, I've never had a Mango Margarita, so I don't know if they're the best ever, but I certainly wanted to try one. They are... read more

When planning my return visit to San Diego a trip to Casa Guadalajara was a must for me. Excellent Mexican food, homemade tortillas, delicious margaritas and great service all out on their beautiful patio area. My friends and I literally went back there straight from the airport (no joke that is how much I love this place). Now that I... More

Came with group of 20. They were very accommodative and efficient with service. Very nice waiter. Great salsa and guacamole. Food was good Mexican. Really liked their tamales. Sat outside in beautiful patio. It was a wonderful evening. We took transit train from seaside village and got off at old town, walked 1 block and was right there. Easy to... More

Old Town is in a general slide from my hotel to the restaurants. The one place I thought I could count on after a visit here a year ago was Casa Guadalajara. The menu had been updated (especially the prices) and change can be good if it works but it just didn't. This restaurant now has a feel of mass... More

My daughter and I received a coupon for a $10 discount on a 2nd entree. Both of us drank margaritas which were excellent. Started out with complimentary chips and salsa and ordered guacamole. My daughter ordered a combo and I ate carnitas fajitas with fresh made corn tortillas. The entire staff was visibly busy but they were extremely helpful and... More

We found this place last June and knew when we came back for Spring Break that we would be back. We actually ate there 2 nights while on break. The staff is so attentive and welcoming. The margarita list is extensive and tasty. Then there's the chips and salsa which we couldn't get enough of. We had many different items:... More

I love Mexican food and this was perfect! I had the enchiladas suizas which is one of my favorite dishes. It was delicious and had huge chili rellenos on it. My husband had the carne asada plate and it was very good. The chips and salsa was yummy. They make their own tortillas. There is a mariachi band that comes... More

This is a little off the main area of Old Town--Our cab driver had recommended it. Wonderful Mexican food with a terrific atmosphere. My husband loved the mole chicken and I enjoyed a combination platter. Lots of great food!

Such a great place if you have one night to dedicate to some good, local, SD Mexican food! Everything is delicious from the food to drinks and the mariachi band is excellent entertainment while you eat! They also have great free appetizers at the bar if you just want to go for drinks. Thank you guys for that! And on... More
