The food was good - not outstanding. The service was good - not outstanding. Looked forward to the Margarita, but since when aren't Margaritas served in wide-brimmed Margarita glasses anymore??? Ordering a Margarita with "salt and rocks" and having it served in a Tom Collins shaped glass just doesn't cut it for authenticity.

This was our best meal in San Diego. Great atmosphere, fun vibe and OH great food. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp....Margaritas are made the way you want them with many choices. Its not exactly located in Old Town but right on the out-skirts of it off Taylor street. Highly Recommended!

Visited on April, 2012. This was within walking distance of my hotel and I LOVE Mexican food, so naturally, I had to try it out. I just walked in off the street and even though the place was packed, I was seated right away. The service was top-notch. I was attended to almost as soon as I sat down and... More

Read a few prior reviews but since located in high tourist area was worried. We had our Siberian Husky pup with us ( 4 months old) so figured no way can enter. Asked one of the girls if we could use a table in corner of patio in case other customers objected and to our surprise she said yes! ,... More

The food was great and only exceeded by the quality of the service. We dined on the patio and the heaters took the chill away after the sun went down. Traveling Mariachi band and the overall decor of this restaurant made for a very peasant experience.

I called Casa Guadalajara from Tucson to make reservations for my family of ten to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary. I called a week in advance and was told they could not be able to accomodate me for the day and time we would be San Diego because they had conventions and private parties on that date. I explained that... More

Loved the mexican decor and the ambiance. Loud at times but good food and service overall. Long wait to go in but worth the experience.

This restaurant located in old San Diego in my opinion is the best restaurant where you can eat mexican food with good price and superlative drink margarita. I tried chimichanga and i Was really satisfied. The best appetizer is "nacho supreme" with nachos cheese and chili... Wow. The prices are like in the others restaurant in this area, no expensive.

We travel to San Diego for a conference every couple of years and stay about 5 minutes from Old Town. As such it's convenient to have a meal there at least once. The food is good, although not the best Mexican I've ever had. Still, sitting outside under the trees and listening to the wandering minstrels seems to make it... More
