Excellent Mexican food at Old Town San Diego!

Been to this restaurant 2 times on separate trips and I must say they do serve one of the best and freshest Mexican food I have eaten in San Diego! Start with their margaritas and nachos first. All their tortillas are freshly made on site. Portions for their Fajitas are very generous! There is also... read more

We were pleasantly surprised and pleased. We have tried several Mexican restaurants in the Old Town area over the years but today at Casa Guadalajara was the best. Our visit started with excellent Padron margaritas, chips and salsa. Next was excellent fish and carnitas tacos. Service and atmosphere were top notch. The background music and dining areas were perfect. This... More

Visiting San Diego - rode the trolley from the stadium parking to Old Town for dinner. Returned to Casa Guadalajara on this trip. Great food and salsa ! A little pricey, but the portions were large. Very authentic food and atmosphere. Very busy for an early Monday evening, but we were able to get 6 right in. Good kids menu.... More

This is our go-to lunch or dinner place when visitors want to head to Old Town for a little shopping. If there's a line, you can wait at the bar and enjoy a drink while you watch the ladies hand make the tortillas you'll be eating in a few minutes if you order the fajitas! Portions are very generous and... More

So the food here was actually quite good, and you get a lot of it. The main reason I was upset with this place was because of the margarita that I got. I have a fairly light tolerance for alcohol, and once I'd drank their margarita (which I showed my ID for), I felt absolutely nothing. If there was any... More

One of my must-stops with visitors to San Diego. The food is excellent although authentic Mexican food is not difficult to find, but the restaurant is decorated beautifully and the price is very decent.

The restaurant is located about a block from the transit center so it is easy to get to. We arrived at about 6:00 on a Wednesday night and the wait was about 45 minutes long. They will take your number so you can walk around while you wait which was a huge plus. They even gave us some just made... More

Casa Guadalajara is a lovely restaurant simply oozing with Mexican atmosphere. You can eat inside the colorful dining room, or outside on the beautiful flowery patio. Huge menu, daily specials, lunch specials--truly something for everyone. An overflowing basket of hot tortilla chips and two bowls of salsa arrived at our table as soon as we were seated. The Cabo Wabo... More

Huge portions of deliciousness. Great atmosphere. Fun shops just outside the restaurant. They even had a band moving around the dining room for entertainment.

This restaurant is beautiful! We ate outside under a huge tree. Most of my family loved the salsa. My youngest said it was too oniony. The Spanish rice was really good. My husband had the Fajitas Del Mar. I ate the Tequila Lime Shrimp. Our teenaged sons meals also looked delicious. Our service was fast and friendly! I had a... More
