While visiting San Diego we decided on a Mexican restaurant for dinner. We decided on Casa Guadalajara in the Old Town section and were not disappointed. I know we made a good choice whenever we walk into a busy restaurant and the majority of the people look happy. Parking is available in the back section of the restaurant. The margaritas... More

Decided to go here for dinner during a vacation to La Jolla based on other reviews. It did not disappoint. Each of the four in our party found our meals to be of high quality with generous portions. The house margarita was weak so if you are looking for a "kick" it may be better to order a more expensive... More

Hostess? Wonderful Server? Okay Food? Not at all what I had expected (and not in a good way) The avocado chicken enchilada was hood but cold. The server tried to say it was cold because the guacamole they put in there is cold...I have to disagree. It was okay but would probably not go back.

With all the places to choose in San Diego, my husband enjoys this location as they have a live mariachi band that goes throughout the restaurant. The fish tacos are good and the plate also included rice/salad more than I could eat. Restaurant is one of the few in Old Town that is air conditioned.

We brought a large family party for dinner and were given a 15 minute wait. Within 15 minutes we were seated with tall glasses of cold ice water and menus in hand in a lovely outdoor dining area under a spectacular tree draped with lights and decorations. There was a traveling Mariachi band making their way around the tables for... More

Located in the Old Town area, we visited mid-day on 12/3, out sight seeing, spending money, the usual stuff. So for us, it was a couple of beers and their supreme nachos. Excellent nachos, and what set them apart was both the chicken and beef were shredded (we ordered a mix). The restaurant was packed (on a Monday!), but the... More

The food was delishious, and plates are huge. Their fajitas are very good. Thier fried beens with bacon were divine. The chicken strips for kids vere very flavorful. A fun place for family and friends to get together, a bit noisy for deep conversation. Service was ok, the waitress seemed too busy, but the bussers were very friendly. I would... More

Soooo much food to choose from their vast menu. I ordered POLLO ASADA. My son and girlfriend each ordered SPICY POLLO CHIPOLTE. We were served excellent SALSA and CHIPS while waiting for... More

Absolutely love this restaurant. Every time we go to San Diego, we have to go Casa Guadalajara. This time I had the Chicken Mole. It was tender pieces of chicken in a green mole sauce made with pepitas. It was served with charro beans, a spanish rice and cabbage salad. Such a wonderful meal topped off with a traditional Margarita!
