Get the Salsa to go!

Fun place, solid Mexican food. Lunch specials are a very good deal. Great Salsa which they also sell to go.

There are a couple of really cool things about Casa Guadalajara. 1. The Cadillac Margarita. Definitely get that. 2. Sit by the huge tree outside. Just a very cool vibe.3. Get some Guacamole and chips. The Guacamole is really good here. 4. Take a walk in Old Town. Especially if you got the big version of the Cadillac. I have... More

Don't be fooled by ratings. This is a very busy tourist restaurant. I don't know where to send you for the real thing but it must be out there in San Diego. But you won't get anything here you can't get at any Mex restaurant .

there are not too many surprises at this large and very popular Mexican restaurant. however, the chicken mole was out of the ordinary and was quite tasty. lots of touristy ambiance. Mariachis in afternoon/evening.

Hi finished a great meal at his wonderfully festive establishment. From the get go, our experience was wonderful. We got off the trolley at Old Town, in search of a Mexican meal. This was the first restaurant we came upon, and since it was 6:30 on a Thursday night, and there was already a wait for tables we decided to... More

The most recommended Mexican restaurant in San Diego. Very good food, generous portions, outstanding service. You might have to wait to be seated, it is a very popular place.

While we were on a 3 hr dinner cruise in San Diego we asked the couple that was next to our table as to their recommendations a VG Mexican restaurant & they said that their favorite place was Casa Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant on Taylor Street in San Diego. We were certainly not disappointed as this was the absolute best Mexican... More

There are lots of grand Mexican places in S.D., but this is one of the best. Great venue, efficient (if not overly warm & fuzzy) service, impressive Margarita offerings and--most importantly-- the food is magnifico. Fresh, unique, delicious. We always think we should try some of the other cute places in old town, and we probably should, but when we... More

Californians must take this for granted, so pardon my exuberance. My first stop when I hit the west coast is Mexican. Heading north towards the beaches, we stopped here for lunch. Everything looked good on their very large menu, and the food served to other tables looked amazing. We ordered up some brews, tacos, and chili rellenos after downing the... More
