Definite tourist place but locals do frequent as well

Casa Guadalajara is a place to go for a fun atmosphere and reasonable mexican food. The atmosphere is colorful and friendly, and you certainly can get your fill on chips and great salsa. The food is average in my book. The shrimp fajitas are probably a no brainer and good. They do make their... read more

If you are really hunger for Mexican food look no more. The food is delicious and the portions gigantic. The ladies that make the fresh tortillas behind the reception counter are the best. They offered us some freshly made flour tortillas and they were amazing!!! It made us more hunger and more excited to try the rest of the food.... More

We always meet friends here as they have space for large groups and take reservations. They also have a loyalty program. Portions big enough to share if on a budget but prices are around 12.99. They make great chicken mole.

This was our first stop in a weekend of fun. The menus we were handed were dirty. Large servings but very poor quality. Expensive would not recommend. Service was okay.

If u must eat in Old Town this is one of two places that serves the best SOCAL MEXICAN. The other being Old Town Mexican Cafe. Stick with the basics. Enjoy carnitas, carne Assad or tequila lime shrimp. A medium margarita on the rocks with salt or negro modelo beer. Now your enjoying it local style

Went to three places in Old Town to have dinner and this one was by far the best. The other two were Miguel's and Café Coyote. I rank them # 1 Casa Guadalajara, #2 Café Coyote and a distance #3 Miguel's.

I have dined at this restaurant every time I stay in San Diego. Located in the heart of Old Town adjacent to Bazaar del Mundo. Yes it is always busy, full of people, families, parties. The bar area is fantastic and such a great place for a pre dinner margarita whilst waiitng of your table. The outdoor patio is so... More

We come to San Diego area every summer in our RV for 3 weeks. Old Town/Casa Guadalajra are a regular stop for us. This year however was disappointing. We were there on a week day around 1:30pm to avoid the lunch rush, restaurant/patio was not crowded. Both the food and our drinks took forever, 25 minutes at least. Food was... More

Eating at this Restaurant in Old Town San Diego is an experience. Great food, out door seating with the water fountain and the never changing perfect weather. The service is fun to watch...slow but accurate and the birds love the spilled baskets of chips. Live music. The size of the portion is exceptional. Very competitive prices! We will be back... More
