Big on food

One of the more popular restaurants in Old Town San Diego, Casa Guadalajara has great food in large portions. It also has a young, noisy vibe. A wedding rehearsal dinner was underway when we arrived on a Friday evening and several other parties were busy at the same time. Over the din of the crowd... read more

We stopped in for a little Happy Hour and had a few drinks. We ordered a few appetizers that were wonderful! The doors were open and they have patio seating, but we sat inside. My duaghters thought it was funny when the little birds would fly in and walk around! Overall a nice dining experience.

March 5 2015 i made reservations for my family and some friends. It was 15 of us in all. Our reservation was for 7pm. My friends arrive and tell the girls in the front that they were there for our party, the girls then tell them there was no reservations for us that night. When I called the Restaurant a... More

This restaurant rated in the top 200 of over 3,000 restaurants in San Diego so we decided to give it a try being that it was close to our hotel and we were looking for a Mexican Restaurant with good food and margarita's plus a patio. This seemed to be the perfect place. We had a short wait to sit... More

This restaurant had a line waiting to get in and a trip advisor sign in the window so we chose it over the other 20 Mexican restaurants in Old Town. Seriously disappointed from the beginning - the restrooms was disgustingly unclean. Service was quick - back with drinks in a flash. No noticeable use of tequila in the regular margaritas... More

We are a family that have taste buds accostumed to Turkish and European cousines. This was very different .Theu use a lot of sour cream and guacomole at the same time. The service was very efficient and quick and the portions were huge. It was an interesting experience and we would recommend tis restaurant and old town in general.

This is a busy place but worth the wait. We were seated in the patio which is very beautiful. We had a trio of mariachi strolling around which was pleasant. Our waitress was very nice and kept checking on us. Food was great and the margaritas are the best I have ever had. I had a mango margarita and was... More

This is our first time in San Diego and we wanted to find a place with good authentic Mexican food during our stay. This was it. Great atmosphere, food was excellent and prices were great. You can't ask for more than that. On a side note, I highly recommend walking around Old Town while dining here. It was a great... More

Met some old friends here for happy hour. Not that impressed with the little buffet selection but enjoyed our time with friends. Seems that folks come for the restaurant food more than the happy hour.

This is my second time to San Diego. I Ended up here on recommendation. I realized i had been here before. I stayed given the fact I remember it being good last time. I was not disappointed. The service was great and the food was very good. Recommend to anyone in the area.
