Clam chowder should be called "Gummy Flavorless Flour Chowder". I ordered the fresh sea bass with saffron rice. The fish was overcooked to the consistency and flavor of shoe leather, it lacked the texture and taste of bass. The rice had no trace of saffron in it whatsoever. The Brigantine is a local chain of upscale seafood-oriented restaurants. We ate at the one on Shelter Island. We went to the Brigantine across from the Hotel Del Coronado. Their early "Sundowner" dinner is 3 courses for $20. The food is good and the atmosphere is excellent. We will go back! more

I have been going to the Brig for years and I have never had a bad meal. it is very consistent and their chowder is tops. The drinks are also generous. Keep up the good work. more
