Crowded but good food

The place was crowded so the food took a while to come out, but our server did give us warning about that (even though he forgot to bring out a few items). Overall food and service are good. Be sure to use OpenTable to get a reservation.

Went for dinner, and could have just had the appetizer - very large portion of calamari - came with with some fried vegetables. The main course was some of the best swordfish I've had in a restaurant -not covered with a sauce, just great, fresh and perfectly cooked. The Brussel Sprouts were also excellent. Service - exceptional. Price - pretty... More

With a name like McCormick & Schmick's I was expecting a "great" steak/seafood dinner for me and my wife. I'll speak for my dinner. I had the Yellowfin Ahi Tuna for $16.99 which was very good. For my salad I had the Hearts of Romaine Ceasar for $8.99....so so boring. Then I ordered the most expensive dish on their menu,... More

Came in after dinner. 900. Asked for 2 Irish coffees. Got a cup of coffee with whiskey. "Got any whipped cream?" we asked. "Oh, you want whipped cream?" He went off to get it. Is it me? Doesn't all Irish coffee have whipped cream? Am I spoiled by the Buena Vista Club in SF?

Popped in for dinner late on a Tuesday night in July. Restaurant quiet (prob usual on a Tuesday night). Despite no more than three tables occupied, service painfully slow?. And then waiter strangely lingering at my elbow, as if trying to induce sizeable tip for reasons unrelated to the average service... Food was actually very good, so credits to the... More

My parents, brother and I made a trip down to San Diego which I missed to celebrate the end of the semester and the original plan was to go to a bar and eat bar seafood until my dad saw this place and sparked our curiosity. Our waitress (I believe her name was/is Kansas) was really knowledgable and friendly and... More

We going to watch the Padres play the Giants and this was nearby and available. We were able to make use of our Landry's card and got a good meal at a reasonable (for hotel food) price. We would visit again if we were doing the same thing.

This was the most incredibly horrible experience a person could have at what is supposed to be a nice place. Yes it was busy due to a local event but it was horribly managed. The drinks took 30 minutes to get from the time of ordering. The food was one hour. I had the grilled salmon, way over priced. It... More

Joined a friend and business associated for a couple of drinks one night. The service was great and they had a very nice outdoor sitting area.

I've been in this places for two nights, since we had two biz dinners, organized by two different groups lacking some fantasy. Nothing to say about food: it is good, tasty and waiters are nice and knowledgeable, but...waaaaayyyyyyyy too expensive. For same price you can get a much better place than this. Hints: check how much you want to spend... More
