This small, intimate restaurant is the most authentic Italian restaurant in San Diego. I have eaten my way through Italy from the top of Italy's boot to the heal and can say I know what good, authentic Italian food is. Parma is where you will find it. The location is great, the food was delicious and the service is excellent!... More

My Italian heritage is what makes me aware of what is italian and what is not. In SD, like many other cities in US, is full of italian restaurants that are not italian at all. At Parma, the chef, the owner, the staff are all italians. The food: Top Notch, authentic italian style from Parma, the city known for the... More

Lasagna and burrata/caprese salad were both excellent! We sat outside on a very nice night. Service was done right. Highly recommended.

Firstly, I think this is potentially the most authentic Italian you can find in San Diego. Myself included, many peers below are fortunate enough to compare the food directly to experiences they've had in Italy and it certainly measures up right down to the staff. However, my experience was slightly worsened because despite us being perhaps one of three tables,... More

We stopped by Parma after we landed at the airport since it was fairly close by. It's on a street with lots of little shops and other restaurants, which would be fun to walk around if you have time. I had the veal tortellini in white cream sauce, which was tasty, but the sauce was a little too thick. Husband... More

We spent time in Italy recently, and loved the food. So, based on the amazing TripAdvisor rating (#2 of more than 4000 restaurants in San Diego !!!), we were looking forward to a fine authentic experience here. We were extremely disappointed. First, the good: very nice decor, and the service was prompt and very pleasant. But those were offset by... More

My wife and I are pretty predictable in our choice of restaurants in San Diego. Most of the places on our favorites list are on the list more for location or ambiance than for the actual food, e.g.,Casa de Pico for the mariachi, Fish Market for the location on the water, etc. A couple of nights ago, we decided to... Small but cozy, great food and specials. Wine, salad with dinner for two under $60. Short drive from downtown.
