Why didn't I know about this place?

This restaurant has been there for years, and I've always meant to try it, but never did, till recently. Now I have to make up for lost time and get my rear end back there soon. There are few genuine tapas locations in San Diego. Picasso consistently produces tasty, reasonably priced meals. There is a wide variety of choices on the menu plus daily specials. Happy hour tapas specials for as low as $5 and a pitcher of Sangria make an easily affordable treat. The service is warm, prompt, and knowledgeable. Portions are large so be... More

This was my first time back to Picasso in almost 10 years and I knew what I wanted to order, which was still on the menu. We were greeted warmly, the place hasn't changed much which I love. all my favorite dishes were still delicious and we tried some new ones. I highly recommend this intimate authentic restaurant in the... More

Service here is great and the place is nice. Food is good, but living in Europe and being a frequent tapas-eater, I've had better. Definitely worth a visit or two though

It always intrigues me that Tapas Picasso has been open for as long as it has. Every time we either drive by and look in or stop in for dinner, there are very few people inside. That's the rest of the worlds loss. As with any tapas restaurant, you can order several plates per person and share. Many times I've... More

We came here for dinner after leaving a Meetup group mixer across the street at another restaurant that either could not or just would not seat us, even though there were empty tables in the dining room that we could see from the bar. We walked in, and though they were scheduled to close in about a half hour, the... More

We enjoyed the happy hour prices on their tapas! Everything was delicious and interesting choices! We were there on a Thursday night, so it was not busy! But weekends, you might want to call ahead! Best tapas we have had outside of Spain! Wish we lived closer, we wold definitely be regulars!

I was taken here for the first time 9 year ago by some friends who lived in San Diego, it was a great end to a wonderful day. I have since been back to this place many times. This is truly a wonderful Spanish tapas place, and any Spanish place would not be worth to go if the Paella isn't... More

We have been eating here for years. Is is always wonderful. GREAT little Tapas and the owner/dining room overseer really knows his wines. His wife is the cook and we just got to meet his son who was in the front the last time we went. THeir happy hour is a steal and really great food also.

Really good, not wonderful. We were looking for a dinner of appetizers, so what better place to go than a Tapas bar, right? I'm THAT customer: gluten-free and curious, and felt like the server (who was also the owner) was slightly put-off by my questions. He worked hard to upsell everything ("If everyone is having a glass of sangria you'll... More
