Ate here with my sister and my 2 year old daughter in June 2009. You order at a counter with about 4 lines. The menu has strange prices, like $8.32 for a tuna sandwich. From reading the reviews I was expecting something quite different. This is basically fast food fish takeout. I cannot say it was bad, but I wouldn,t return again or recommend this place to anyone. Being from the east coast, I can say things like the clam strips and soft shell crabs were just OK. Nothing to compare with Maine seafood. more

Stayed on Shelter Island for weeklong conference and ate at Point Loma Seafoods 3x. Food was fresh and delicious each time. Service was fast and we sat outside in the beautiful SD sun each time. Point Loma Seafoods is a San Diego institution. I've been going here for 10 years now and I love it. Is it the cheapest? No, but the food is quality and simply delicious. On a tip from our inn keeper, we visited Point Loma Seafood. We had their seafood taco special- ono tacos. Delicious. The ono was so tender and big chunks made up the taco.
