If you Like Fish

We're always figuring out how to arrive in San Diego at an appropriate time to enjoy lunch at Point Loma Seafood. I don't think there is anything bad on the menu. It's a bit intimidating at first--the menu is above the fish counter and just move forward when you're ready to order. While you're... read more

This place is so busy, we thought it would be amazing. First of all, it is set up like a fast food place, not quite my idea of great dining in SD. My sister-in-law asked if they served butter with the lobster, they said, of course. She order the lobster and crab, she had so been looking for a great... More

Family friendly, reasonable price. This is a seafood market that prepares food. I think that you can't find any fresher seafood around. Don't have kids menu but is possible to make it work for your kids, at least I feel that I can share one plate among two kids. Outside sitting, nice bay view. Not much indoor sitting.

They are packed during the lunch and dinner hour, and crowded the rest of the day. So, I think that says a ton about their food! It has been one of my favorite places for fish and chips for over 25 years. Their formula has remained the same and I hope it doesn't change.

Relaxed, caz atmosphere, kick back, enjoy the waves and take in the sights and sounds of the ocean as you enjoy your seafood.

I thought the food would be terrific and perhaps the fresh fish is good to take home but the sandwiches were very bland, bread soggy and no presentation at all. Go buy a cold drink there, look at the boats, and then go ear elsewhere.

We always stop in at Point Loma Seafoods when we go out to San Diego. The freshest you can imagine. Many different things to try, but the crab cakes and clam chowder are killer. Great location close to Shelter Island, but a word of advise, stay in line for a parking place and let the parking attendant guide you.

Point Loma Seafood was recommended to us by several people so we had to try it while we were visiting San Diego. You order at a glass counter that displays the fish and seafood, menu of which is overhead. Our family ordered the combo plate (1 crab cake, 3 fried shrimp, 2 fried cod pieces, fries and slaw), clam chowder,... More

This is a great casual seafood restaurant. When you enter, you see an impressive array of fresh seafood for purchase and order your meal at the same counter. I had the crab and shrimp sandwich, which was amazingly fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had the fried fish sandwich, which was equally delicious. You can wash it all down with a... More
