Usually good... but this time

Have always loved their food. And I have posted comments before on how good it is. Fresh and delicious! This time I decided to try the maine lobster roll... big mistake. It was terrible. :( I'm not a lobster roll expert but it's nothing like what you would get in maine. For the price... read more

The only thing I've eaten here is the clam chowder, which was delicious. But I have been here for a good amount of grocery shopping. Each time the quality has been spot on, and the employees very helpful. They have everything you could need for whatever you're heart desires to make. The prices are a bit higher than I'd like,... This little local place by the water has a casual charming atmosphere. You order inside. There are several counters of fresh fish, everything is spotless clean. Sit outside under an umbrella and enjoy the views of the water, boats, people and dogs. Can't recommend any one item as its all superb. Don't expect cheap though.

We wandered in tonight based on TA reviews of restaurants in PT Loma area. Had the daily special---grilled Ono platter. Lots of well grilled fish with fries and excellent cole slaw. You order at counter....wait for your number....then seat yourself. Inside dining downstairs. Second story open terrace with fantastic view of marina and SD skyline. We'll be back....

I had just arrived in San Diego at noon! My host picked me up at the airport and we went directly to Point Loma Seafoods nearby! Tucked among the many buildings on the harbor, this two story open air dining is a find! More a fish store with the largest array of fresh and smoked fish that I have ever... More

We asked a few people where to get seafood and everyone said we had to go here. We enjoyed it too, although it wasn't as good as we were expecting after all the rave reviews we'd heard. I'd recommend expecting good mostly-fried seafood, not awesome seafood. Most things were battered and fried, and sides were limited, so it's a good... More

We visit family about once a year in San Diego and always make this a "must" on our itinerary. The fried calamari sandwich is our favorite. Service is much better now after the added on significantly. Wait lines are much shorter thanks to better staffing and much more seating. It is located waterside in the bay so ambiance is A+.... Point Loma Seafoods has been discovered - but everything that makes it special is still the same - delicious food - great dining experience - casual and fun - parking was a little tricky - but then we were there on a holiday which might have had something to do with it!!

Fresh....I mean off the boat Fresh is going to cost more....and if you're buying fresh fish to take home and cook be prepared to pay a hefty price compared to seafood you see in your supermarket. But who knows how old that stuff is? But if nothing else, go for the food....the salads, the sandwiches, the fish tacos or sushi... More
