Point Loma Seafoods has been a part of San Diego for generations. They serve a No Frills meal (lots of choices), but nothing fancy. They have a great fish market to get fresh fish and have a great selection of Smoked Fish to take home. I am a regular and always take friends from out of town.

This place seems to be much touted, quite busy...lots of fresh fish on display. But I made mistake of ordering squid, thinking it would be like calamari one gets for appetizer...these squid strips were so thick, almost tasted closer to octopus. The draft beer is good and not as expensive, make sure you taste (if not sure) befor you order... More

I've seen the write ups and it was good, but not great. It's a market with much to offer in fresh seafood, that looked phenominal. If I lived here I would shop here for my fish. The same area that serves the market is where you order your food. I had a sampler of fish and shrimp, my wife had... More

I grabbed a sandwich for lunch and it was so good I went back the next day. Super fresh seafood and bread with the perfect amount of dressing/sauce. Quick preparation too. I tried the fried and smoked fish and both were great. The sandwich includes no sides but it’s a big sandwich and you can order sides or just get... More

Great fish and shrimp sandwiches! Shrimp was served on sour dough bread with tarter sauce. Nothing comes with the sandwich though. Packed house.

The seasoning was a bit off for my taste but I was very happy with the freshness of seafood, specifically the crab cakes and clam chowder. The sushi was delicious and the staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Point Loma Seafoods has been a favorite with locals for decades because it offers fresh fish right off the boat. Daily catches are combined with locally sourced fish and shellfish at the walk up counters. Large refrigerated cases and tanks hold a vast array of options to take home and enjoy or have cooked to order. Also on offer are... More

This is a fish market. The seafood was good & obviously fresh but the preparation was simple (maybe minimalist). That's not bad....just letting you know what to expect. I think the side orders are kind of an afterthought. As I recall the iced tea could use some work too. You stand while up while the food is being prepared so... More

Went here on a recommendation from a friend and we are hooked! Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Way too many choices that make your mouth water when you walk in the door. The sushi is fresh and amazing! We loved every bite. Tea was fresh and so was the lemonade! Can't stop raving about it!

we loved the fresh seafood and watching the activity on the fishing piers from the upper outside deck while dining.
