we had a large group for a reunion of friends. The service was prompt and all the food was served well. Portions were very big and everone was satisfied with the overall performance of the food and service.

The restaurant looks somewhat unpretentious from the exterior, but don’t judge by initial appearances! I came here with some colleagues who were attending a conference at the Convention Center, and we were very impressed by the choice of menu and the promptness and friendliness of service. There was a good choice of vegetarian items on the menu – but you... More

We went here on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. There are soooo many restaurants in the Gaslamp District to choose from. So glad we went here. The service was impeccable and the italian food was some of the best we've ever had. I would highly recommend it!

I wasn't going to rate this place here on Trip Advisor, but the response from the management regarding my review elsewhere upset me so much I felt the need to post my review here as well. Here is my review and the response. MY REVIEW "This restaurant was a disappointment for us. We felt like we walked into a tourist... More

We love San Diego, and all of the wonderful restaurants they have to offer, and we particularly loved Panevino. The lasagna was some of the best we've ever eaten in a restaurant, covered with wonderful cheeses and a great sauce. Since I normally make homemade lasagna, with sauce that had cooked all day, this is high praise. Their bruscetta appetizer... More

Our waiter was a true showman and did a tremendous job. Was prompt serving our drinks and suggested appetizers that were delicious. The salads and entrees were all excellent. The prices were on the high side, but food quality and quantity lived up to expectations. If you like good Italian food, this is worth a visit.

We waited over 1 hour for a piece of Sea Bass----we cancelled our order after eating our shrimp cocktail and our lobster salad...the waitress apologized and removed a $6 beer off our tab... we won't be back...

Not the best Italian food I have ever had, but good. It was recommend to us by the hotel so we made reservations and headed out there. Atmosphere was great as it is in the gas light district. Sat out on the side walk and people watched. We had the homemade lamb ravioli and the creme brûlée for dessert. It... More

we chose this restaurant walking through Gaslamp quarter looking for a pizza. We sat outside and had a woman on the sidewalk chain smoking so that was a disappointment and not the restaurants fault. The service was excellent but the pizza was average at best the crust was too tough to cut with a knife, however it was soggy in... More

We were walking through the Gaslamp area looking for just the right place. We had passed many places when we walked past Osteria. The young man at the front invited us in so politely which is what brought us in. The service was over and above friendly, the food came out quickly and was quite good. I had a salad... More
