Great Italian Food at a Great price.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Little Italy. The wait on the weekends is usually a little long but well worth. The food is real tasty with large portions at a reasonable price. The salads both house Italian and caprese are very good choices. The pizza is also a great choice. This is an... read more

Very cool family Italian restaurant you enter by passing through a traditional style Italian delicatessen / market. Quite large once you get inside with hundreds of wine bottles hanging from the ceiling. The tomato sauce is delicious and I love the thick little glasses wine is served with. They were very accommodating to me as a single person eating out... More

This is the quintessential Italian dining experience. If you are looking for a classic, this is the place to go. Great pizza and pasta options and the prices are very fair. You line up in the Italian deli to wait your turn for a table. The wine is served in Italian wine glasses, not French. You will have a great... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff. The food was Ok but not great compared to East Coast Italian. When we left ,there was a line out the door, which puzzled us since the food was just OK. We had eaten another night across the street, and the food was superior compared to this establishment.

What a proper pizza tastes like. My daughter and I get pepperoni and sausage. The crust is devine. Not to thick not to thin. Plenty of toppings and cheese. We always call ahead. We frequent the Kearney Mesa location as it is close to our house.

This is it the best pizza in the west. Not as good as the best in N.Y., but very close. Good service and great food in a rustic atmosphere. Been going here for 50 years and never had bad meal. Don't expect glitz, it's down home Italian dinning old style. Has the same tomato sauce splashed on the wall for... More

Slap my face and call me Judy....this place is ridiculous. The pizza crust was thicker but had terrific crunch, the toppings were fresh and the cheese was plentiful. It might be the best pizza I have ever tasted. My mom is wrong about most things but that chick out-ordered my butt that day. My rigatoni was delicious and my meatball... More

While celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in San Diego, we ventured into the Little Italy neighborhood just north of our downtown hotel. Much to our pleasure, we came across Fillipi's Pizza Grotto for a late afternoon meal. Everything was excellent: service, food, price, and ambience!!!

I have been coming here for years and just finished another Filippi's sausage and pepperoni pizza. It was the bomb as always. I love Filippi's pizzas!

Looking for pizza by the slice while traveling solo. I came across Filippi's. Since I was alone, they stuck me in an awkward corner and pretty much left me alone. Ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza since they don't serve slices. Unfortunately, it was a flavorless thick crust (could have used some salt) and the sausage and mushrooms were essentially... More
