Filippi's has survived through the decades by offering tasty, plentiful portions of well prepared food and quite reasonable prices. Not elegant, but this place has character. Set your GPS for 1747 India Street, San Diego, Ca 92101 for a happy meal!

Stopped in last night and really enjoyed everything. When we left the line was out the door. Huge servings of spaghetti and rigatoni with fist sized meatballs. Just a great little place with huge servings. Highly recommend stopping in.

Best clams linguini I've had in years! My friends ordered pizza and said it was great! For desert, buy the cookies from the deli inside the restaurant and enjoy them with your coffee. Casual place with lots of atmosphere. A bit noisy and loud but overall a great find in Little Italy.

Great Pizza in the core of San Diego's Little Italy, there are MANY pizza places to choose from. Wonderful crust, sauce, ingredients (we loved the meatball). The waiter was excellent, despite our order being wrong (still not sure if it was our fault or his) But he was gracious and accommodating to correct it. Prices were average for the area.... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. You need to go through a grocery to get there and wait a bit as it is popular. Look through the pasta and spices as you stand in line. It is worth the wait. Our server has worked there 8 years. She loves it and it showed . We had pasta and it was more... More

The pizza is the best. They have been our favorite pizza place for 36 years. Their dinner salad and antipasto...fantastic. However, many other dishes are good, but contain too much salt..such as their lasagna. It is good, but common and high in salt. In our 36 years, we seldom have anything but their pizza...other dishes are good, just not special.... More

Long line for seating, but worth the wait. I ordered the special pizza. Fresh ingredients, generous portion, excellent crust. Add a house Chianti and you're good to go.

Behind the deli in Little Italy, is the fantabulous Pizza Grotto. We have been going for over 25 years and never ever tire of the food. We are from out of town, but go to San Diego at least twice a year. A stop has to be at the Pizza Grotto. We usually get the combination plate of lasagna and... More

We had to wait about an hour to get in, but it was worth it. Good pizza, an inexpensive bottle of wine, and tons of character. Not a high-end high-class eatery, just a fun place in the heart of little Italy to hang out with your loved ones or family.
