We had a great time here at Dicks with quick service, fun atmosphere, hilarious staff and live music. We brought our entire family but I can see how some families would not want there kids there. Their humor can be quite rude sometimes... I love it but some people would take offence. Its just part of the fun!! Their food... More

Fine dining it's not, but if you want to have some fun with some average food and good drinks in San Diego, head down to Dicks.

This place has fast service and great food, the only thing I wasn't ready for was the abruptness of the staff. The hostess shouts at you where to sit, which threw me at first! The food and service more than make up for the shouting!

If you want to experience a restaurant where the joke is on you, this place is for you! I'm happy that I can finally say that I ate at a Dick'sRestaurant - the experience is similar as kissing the high school (w)hore. Everyone kissed her, too, but you wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Some Dick'sRestaurants are... More

Pretty fun place, pretty good food, and a friendly crowd. Nothing exceptional but worth checking out.

Just another good 'ol Dick's venue in the Gaslamp area of San Diego. Worth a visit if you want nothing more that a beer 'n burger. They have a decent selection of small/independant brewery beer and an acceptable bar style food menu. Not necessarily a place to take young children as the banter from the staff can get a little... Ever go to a restaurant and have a bad experience? Of course, we all have! Dick's does it on purpose. I think the name of the restaurant says it all. It's a spoof of the worst dining experiences you've had! If it's your first time they make a gigantic dunce type hat for you out of butcher paper with an... More

Fun, rude bartender served us complimentary water while we waited for our to go order. Really great food and service at decent prices. The hostess was charming, took our picture with the statue out front, and advised me to put on more sunblock :) Everything you'd expect from Dick's; great location in Gaslamp Quarter.

We (family of four) thought it would be fun to experience this restaurant but as soon as we sat down we realized that it was not going to be fun. Menu chalked on wall and each of us got plastic bibs put on us. That's when my wife said "we're outta here". We went to a real restaurant then.

Dining with a difference. The staff are so friendly and will happily chat to you and have some fun with the diners. Food was really good. There was a band playing steel drums the evening we were there in the outside yard and they gave a real holiday vibe to the experience. Great choice of unique drinks and we went... More
