I recently had the opportunity to visit Bread & CIE. What a great place! It's sort of a cross between a cafeteria and a bakery. Bread and Cie has the best tuna sandwich I have ever had. No mayo, a little olive oil, walnuts and capers on a baquette with arugula and tomatoe - divine! I have tried to replicate at home and just can't get it right. Lucky for me they don't change the menu. more

I went to this place because of the reviews on TA and ended up liking it so much, went there again a day later. With mother and siblings all in the greater San Diego area, I always go to Bread & Cie. for either a fine sandwich or a breakfast of 3 different hunks of bread and butter and a cappucino. I always try to make sure I am in town on either a Wednesday or a Saturday when they make their Walnut/Scallion bread!!... more
A neat little neighborhood gem with all sorts of yummy pastries and treats with enough of a cafe setting to feel very relaxed in the middle of busy san diego more
