Great Bread.

Great easy fast meals. The soups were delicious. I had the Tomato basil; my husband, the Mulligatawny. Flavorful and delicious. Bought some of that great crusty bread home and enjoyed it for a week.

Popular bakery in the Hillcrest area. They have fresh bread, pasteries, cookies, and cakes. Pear tarts, macroons and lemon bars are delicious. There's a huge selection, so if your overwhelmed and are tempted to buy it all, just ask the counter person what's great!!!!

Conveniently located right off the trolley stop and public bus line this Paris style bistro offers a wide selection of freshly baked breads salads, sandwiches, soups and freshly made desserts. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available with free parking for one hour in the back of the building. A neighborhood favorite with tourists dropping in, everyone is quite casual and... The bakery had a very good selection of breads and sweet items as well as a sandwich and soup menu. This seems to be a very popular place for coffee klatches. Everyone seemed to be very comfortable hanging out and lingering in the cafe. Wifi is not available. Restroom is for customer use with a digital code available from the... More

Another spot we discovered last year that we make a regular part of our visits to San Diego. Really nice spot to have breakfast and pick up some wonderful pastries and bread. Their quiche is exceptional.

Bread and CIE is a neat little spot in the Hillcrest area of San Diego. There are all kinds of fresh bread and amazing delicious quiche! The coffee is great. The service is friendly and fast. The restaurant is clean, lots of seating and ample parking close by. I loved it!

What a wonderful place to drop in or stay for a while! The bread, the sandwiches and the treats! As soon as you enter, ah, the smell, fresh baked goods reminds you of your grandma's kitchen! Wish I was 6 again! Now I have to do the baking and not nearly as good as these fine, nice folks! Cranberry Goat... More

Last morning in San Diego, we did fig tree the day before and were moderately happy. we figured this was a great area for restaurants, having gone to Einstein's as well the morning before. We liked the idea of a french breakfast, and went into Bread and CIE. I had a smoked salmon Benedict with a coffee, and my wife... More

What a great little spot in trendy Hillcrest. Parking is a drag, but once you're settled in, this is a fun, casual place to eat and socialize with friends. I had the California Muffelleta, which was a bit different than what I was expecting--my issue, not theirs--as it was a grilled panini with a couple of different types of salami,... More
