Bread and Cie is just as good now as it was when I first ate there six years ago. The chocolate almond croissant was delicious and the cappuccino they made me really hit the spot. The staff were also really friendly. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in San Diego.

The quality and variety of breads are amazing. We stopped in to purchase a couple loaves of irish soda bread ordered in advanced. The location is good - one hour free parking in the back, and the sandwiches and coffee is superb. lots of tables to choose from and quick service.

Look, I can't be unbiased about this place because we've been going here for nine plus years, pretty much every week. Lorena, the baker, knows my kids and gives them treats when she sees them. We know when the hot baguettes come out of the oven on the weekends and time our visits accordingly. So we love this place. It's... More

This is a blessing for a city to have. I wish we had something like this in Orange County. Nice people and good casual food. Wonderful chewy sourdough and more. Seating outside is nice. Park on the street works, just have a bunch of change for the meter

After Day 2 of touring San Diego, we had no idea where to eat, but we knew we didn't want Mexican food in Old Town again. So we searched the GPS for food ideas. Nearing our stop, we swung into the first available parking space. Just across the street was Bread & Cie, which we remembered seeing in the list.... More

I must be the last person in SD to eat here. All those people are right. This place is awesome. The baked goods are fantastic, no wonder so many restaurants and grocery stores sell their products. The restaurant is clean, warm, inviting, and has a great selection of sandwiches, salads and soups, the baked goods are too many to mention.... More

Pretty yummy sandwiches. We had a muffaletto, walnut/honey/brie, grilled cheese, ham and cheese and tuna. Everyone was pretty impressed with their meal.

This is a favorite establishment in the Hillcrest area of San Diego. It is a continental breakfast and coffee hangout for most of the neighborhood. Nearly everyone has tried their multiple offerings in baked goods, everyone of which leaves you in awe of their baking ability. Service is friendly. There is seating outside in front of the shop which allows... More
