Beautiful location, does a great business!

We were here for lunch on Sunday. Super busy - normal menu - not a holiday or brunch type of deal going on. Lots of families with kids of all ages which surprised me. I think of higher priced restaurants to be more of a couples place. Food very good, service very slow (including getting food... read more

The food was very good. It's great for people who like to try something new. My hubby would NOT have liked it because he likes to order what he knows. We were there in January at 2 pm and it was busy and took a long time to get our food. It makes me wonder if there are more places... More

Had a wonderful lunch with the family at the Prado and really enjoyed the great food, beautiful views and wonderful customer service. The cocktails are very well made and the food menu is excellent. Great way to showcase San Diego to relatives coming in to visit

They have both outdoor and indoor dining, but the area at the bar is great and no waiting, as long as you do not want a full blown meal. Their little bites are enough for lunch, service is quick, and food excellent. I had the mahi mahi tacos for $10, and was stuffed. The wine list is good too.

In the midst of Balboa Park, the Prado can also be a destination place for fine dining and special occasions. Wonderful setting.

The rear terrace offers a shaded place in the park to have a civilized lunch or dinner. Service is great. The amphitheater right below is a popular place for weddings. I dedicated part of a Saturday Afternoon sipping champagne and toasting to the happiness of all who found their way here. Checkout includes a line item to round up your... More

Initially we had an amazing lunch here. Food was amazing, atmosphere was fun and the service was good. I would recommend the tortilla soup, it was soo yummy and I had one of the flat breads and it was also remarkable and their fresh fruit sodas( I had the blood orange and pomegranate) are sooo yummy. My friend also enjoyed... More

Nice spot for an evening or afternoon meal with the wife or girlfriend... hopefully not at the same time. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is wonderful. Do ask for a table on the patio if the weather permits. The view of the gardens below add to the experience. Lunch is cheaper than the evening, and valet parking is... More

I usually don't eat at restaurants located in museums, but am happy that I did this time. Our server (Ashling) was friendly, and had some good suggestions for us. The meal was well-prepared, nicely presented, and most importantly, delicious. We sat on the balcony in the sunshine. In January. What a treat. If you're not very hungry, consider ordering one...
