The atmosphere was fabulous - outdoor seating (with nearby heaters) on a lovely CA evening. The service was good but nothing exceptional. The food was good, but the menu is pretty limited. I don't know that I'd go back. If you do decide to give it a go, try the calamari app - it made up for what anything else... More

We were visiting San Diego as part of a trip down the Pacific Coast Highway. We saw the dome of the building on a day to the San Diego Zoo then again on a segway tour that included Balboa Park. I loved the building and after a bit of research discovered that it was a restaurant, so we made a... More

Great interior of the original building updated but not destroyed. Good service, Good drinks and appetizers with folksy like entertaining music. We did not eat dinner here as they closed for dining at 9PM and were later. C&H

Although the setting is nice, the waiters professional (though not very welcoming), it's the food that really doesn't live up to its expectations. The chicken and gnocchi dumplings were too fatty, with poor quality of chicken ; the salmon was well prepared, but the dish in its entirety was just not that good. We actually visited the same restaurant 3... More

Lovely setting eating on the patio. Rueben came cold. Had cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. Hard to find the cheese.

Really made the stroll around the park a perfect afternoon! Great patio, we enjoyed fish and steak tacos and wine. Great atmosphere, don't miss it if you are going to enjoy the free park.

This part of the city is a lovely contrast to the waterfront and convention focused city centre with a much more traditional ambiance. Service good, food is fine but expensive, a worthwhile alternative to the usual fare in the citycentre .

We had a late lunch after a morning at the zoo and the Prado was amazing. The food was delicious, atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing and the service was spot on. We shared some white sangria and then I had a very tasty farmers salad with grilled steak on top. My wife had a rich grilled cheese with some tomato... More

We visited during a "Sana Ana" heat wave and this place was a welcome respite. Everything was delicious, creative and satisfying. Great fish tacos!

This restaurant is breathtaking. You can eat inside or at the bar which is just beautiful or you can eat outsidewhich is fun and again well decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering questions about the menu and about drinks. We had a 30 minute wait while went flying by while we just enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant.
