Lovely setting eating on the patio. Rueben came cold. Had cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. Hard to find the cheese.

Really made the stroll around the park a perfect afternoon! Great patio, we enjoyed fish and steak tacos and wine. Great atmosphere, don't miss it if you are going to enjoy the free park.

This part of the city is a lovely contrast to the waterfront and convention focused city centre with a much more traditional ambiance. Service good, food is fine but expensive, a worthwhile alternative to the usual fare in the citycentre .

We had a late lunch after a morning at the zoo and the Prado was amazing. The food was delicious, atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing and the service was spot on. We shared some white sangria and then I had a very tasty farmers salad with grilled steak on top. My wife had a rich grilled cheese with some tomato... More

We visited during a "Sana Ana" heat wave and this place was a welcome respite. Everything was delicious, creative and satisfying. Great fish tacos!

This restaurant is breathtaking. You can eat inside or at the bar which is just beautiful or you can eat outsidewhich is fun and again well decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering questions about the menu and about drinks. We had a 30 minute wait while went flying by while we just enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant.

We had dinner before going to see a play at The Old Globe. The location was excellent. We greatly enjoyed our meal. I had a large salad and chicken dumplings which were both delicious. My only complaint was that I had a Pismo Sour which didn't seem very authentic and came with sugar around the rim. The sweetness of the... More

We actually dined here twice during our week long vacation in SD. The atmosphere was totally relaxing, beautiful on the patio, and the wait staff made you feel welcome and unhurried. The food was so fresh and tasty. I tended toward the salads and soups, especially loving the black bean. My husband very much enjoyed the fish tacos and the... More

This is a gem in Balboa Park. We started off at the bar with some well made drinks... Even complementary crackers and humus. Dinner in the dining room was a wonderful follow on with great salads and terrific entrees. Mine was a Chilean sea bass on top of a corn relish that was incredibly well balanced. We were all having... More
