Nice lunch in great setting

Comfortable non rushed lunch in the busy park. Good small plate lunch selections. The wine selection was average. Would try any salad. Fresh and ample. Atmosphere was strong point.

Eating outside was delightful and the Kobe burger was excellent; the service was good and overall it's well worth utilizing when you're visiting the park and multiple museums.

OK, food was passable, but not worth the price and serving was minimal at best. Wine was watered down. Slightly arrogant service, once is enough.

This lovely restaurant offers the perfect respite after a morning of visiting museums. We sat on the outside patio on a perfect day. The food and service were excellent. I highly recommend a visit when in San Diego.

Karen & I had lunch on the patio at The Prado. We started with a pitcher of Sangria. It was the best Sangria we have had in a very long time. Karen had the fish tacos. The elements are on your plate to assemble in the proportions you want. The mahi mahi was in whole pieces. She said they were... More

The Prado encompasses the Main building in Balboa Park. There is a Visitor gift store and information desk there. There is a large Reception hall for rent. There is the Prado Restaurant, which is a little pricey, but the best eating place in Balboa Park. They also have an outside balcony, with a view of the Japanese Gardens. There are... More

I may have reviewed this marvelous restaurant before, but it is worth repeating. El Prado offers a wide ranging menu delicious items in ample portions. I had the shrimp cobb salad which included 6 medium shrimp and plenty of avocado as well as some very tasty bacon together with greens. It was delicious and bountiful. My wife had the Three... More

Nice to see a more high-end restaurant move into the airport environment. Service was friendly, but a bit too slow for turnover airport clientele. Comfortable sit-up bar area with table settings surrounding. Menu quite diverse---Mexicali flatbread was excellent Burgers looked generous. Wines, beers, and cocktails were well represented----No clamato juice for caesars! This will be a repeat when at the... More

I stopped here to eat while taking a walk through Balboa Park. The decor drew me in and the view of the park while eating was amazing. The menu was fairly extensive and the prices very reasonable. I had the field greens salad with hazelnuts and a caramel cider vinaigrette dressing...excellent! The service was fast and friendly. Would recommend!
