Easter Celebration

Now I know that they do not do the brunch often like they do for Mother's Day and Easter. But Oh My Goodness the brunch for Easter was absolutely amazing. They have a sushi, meat, fruit, appetizers, sweets section etc. Staff is so professional. Everything I tried was delicious. They even had fresh... read more

Loved the setting, both indoors and out. We ate on the patio. Service was excellent. Had beet salad, kobe beef sushi app, braised short ribs, salmon and chicken with grits. All outstanding. Cream cheese flan for dessert was yummy.

Balboa is such an extensive complex of parks, museums and botanical garden that a rest stop at The Prado will be a welcome relief. There is outside and inside seating. Inside the resturant is absolutely beautiful. The menu is extensive but I had a bowl of tortilla soup with chicken. I also shared Flatbread with the group. The is a... More

Have had some great meals at the Prado but not this time. Bun was stale. Service was a little slow. Crackers served as an appetizer were soggy. Salad was very good. It was a Sunday, crowded as usual, and maybe they were serving day old bread. Disappointed for the first time.

Balboa Park is quite large, you need to give your feet a rest, recharge energy, immersed in natural surroundings, this is an ideal place.

We finished our business and decided to have a nice meal before catching the redeye back East. Our hosts recommended The Prado. It has great atmosphere, drinks, and service at a reasonable price. My entrée, a roasted half chicken, was only so so. Skin was crispy and flavorful, but the flavor never reached the meat, which was on the dry... More

After walking around Balbo Park all day this is a great place to stop and eat. They have a light menu between lunch and dinner. We ordered a flat bread pizza and a salad off of it. Both were really good. If the weather is nice sit on the patio.

Right in the middle of the museums at Balboa Park, but we lucked out and got a table. Great chicken quesidilla and also a wonderful sausage flatbread. Nice atmosphere. Lunch was $30.

Great Food, Happy Hours, Patio Dining, for Lunch or Dinner. The restaurant is located in one of the original 1915 Pan Pacific Exhibition Buildings with a charming courtyard. Lunches $20, Dinners $40, depends on how many margaritas you order!
