Great lunch!

A rainy (yes, rainy) Sunday in San Diego. Visiting the museums in Balboa Park with my sister. Art exhibits didn't open until noon so we stopped in for a quick lunch. It was great. Nice place, clean and food was very good.

We finally had time to visit Balboa Park - on Valentine's Day. We tried to get a dinner reservation but they were totally booked so we went for lunch instead. Great atmosphere, delicious food and wonderful service. A must go!

My husband and I had a wonderful meal in the bar area of this restaurant. They offer a light menu and more affordable prices than sitting in the main dining room. The menu offers flat bread pizza, soup, salad and many finger food items. There is a happy hour with value pricing as well. This charming lounge has great atmosphere... More

Prado at Balboa Park in San Diego is a great place to dine, especially if one is in the area exploring the several museums in Balboa Park. The food and service were both fine, the prices reasonable considering the overall ambience. One dish we thought was particularly outstanding - the spicy calamari. It was so tender and tasty we actually... More

This should be a stop on any visit to Balboa Park. There can be a wait to get in but the time is well worth it. It is especially delightful if you can get outdoor seating. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and comes with a nice presentation. I would return, and did, for... More

The Prado Restaurant is one of our favorites in San Diego. We love to take visitors here but we also like to go as a couple for a leisurely lunch while visiting the museums...or a special dinner...or simply to enjoy their Happy Hour. They have changing promotions like Wine Wednesday and Sangria Sundays, among others. You can dine indoors in... More

We spent the day in Balboa Park, visiting the various Museums. We had seen a sign advertising the Prado so thought we would give it go for lunch. We found a table on the terrace as it was very busy. My first impression was why have patio heaters on when the temperature is in the mid 60s. The snack meals... More

The atmosphere, service and food are all wonderful. I love sitting outside on one of our many 70 and sunny days

The unique menu was excellent. Salads and appetisers were very good. I had the seafood cake and a stawberry and fig salad that were both very tasty. Seating outside on a nice sunney day made it even better. Others at the table had the Kobe burgers and were equally impressed. Tacos both the steak and seafood were also a hit.... More

This was a great choice for lunch! A first-class restaurant in a park! Spicy fries were crisp and delicious. My only complaint -- the waitress went on and on, way too long (perhaps a rehearsed speech and perhaps her management insists on it) about food items (seafood) that we were not the least bit interested in. Maybe the waitstaff could... More
