Walk in the Park and have a cocktail at the Prado

Enjoy the Prado at the Park, even if it's just a drink. Its in the middle of the Park, and lovely way to relax.

I had grilled chicken Cobb salad. The lettuce was not dry, which of course made whole salad watery. There was only about a tablespoon of avocado on the salad. My friends had sandwiches which were adequate, but not the best. One pastrami and one rueben. The waitstaff was courteous and efficient. Atmosphere was nice.

You can't beat the beautiful location inside the Park. Prado's outdoor seating is amazing and perfect for dining al fresco. This is a great restaurant for a romantic occasion or casual lunch date with friends or family.

Beware of restaurants that do NOT take reservations. Upscale, quality, three, four, and five star restaurants take reservations as an efficient way to accommodate their many patrons who have many culinary choices and will not tolerate lengthy waits because they attend a rich variety of post-dinner events and consider their time to be too valuable to waste waiting for a... So we couldn't wait to try this place, as we have read all the reviews, however, we just didn't think it was "all that". The Burger was ok, and the Ruben was...ok. Service was ok...and it was lovely hearing a manager fire someone on the spot in the back of the patio-free entertainment is always a plus. A great location,... More

If you are in Balboa Park there is no better dining available. Gorgeous setting for patio dining, superb service that comes with both high quality and a large quantity of food. My wife and I shared the fish tacos and still could not finish the meal. One of the best- if not the best fish tacos ever! The slaw and... More

This restaurant had great atmosphere, food is high quality ingredients and cooked well, most important, the service was excellent. Everyone from the hostess to the people bussing tables went out of their way to thank us for coming and invite us back. The Tuesday nsate night is such a bargain, $40 for two entrees and a bottle of wine! Can't... More

The atmosphere is very san Diego and the menu is full including a full bar. Ask for Noell's tables and you won't regret it.

We had lunch on a Friday afternoon...it was busy but not packed, the courtyard is a very nice place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and your meal. The staff is very professional, attentive, and polite, and the food was delicious. The prices are higher than some area restaurants but not overpriced for the service and the food.... More

I just gave the Prado 3 stars, because the food was excellent. I am usually a big fan of the Cohn restaurants. This one not so much. We went there on a Sunday around 1;30 pm right after going to the Natural History Museum. We got seated right away. Which was a nice surprise. Got our drinks fast and waited... More
