We went to Prado twice this month while we were visiting San Diego and were in the park for galleries. We had been here at Christmas and had an excellent lunch and we were not disappointed this September. Each time we had lunch and ordered a salad to be split between us but with a single plate of chips/fries. It... More

This restaurant is set in Balboa Park in an area of museums in Spanish style. We arrived at dusk and watched the sun go down and lights come on. The restaurant had some options for eating spaces but we chose the terrace. This was delightful on a sultry September night. The area was covered by umbrellas and had a water... More

The outdoor patio is the way to go. Overlooks Balboa Park. Service was excellent. Food was pretty good as well.

The decor is beautiful. This is probably the most expensive restaurant in the park but it was reasonably priced. White linen table cloths. The food was beautifully presented. We chose to eat inside as it was too hot to eat on the patio which is covered but still too hot for us. Nice air conditioning inside.

We just stopped for a light lunch. Initially was slightly off-putting because they have a light menu, and a full menu, and seat the two differently. They didn't offer us menus to look at to help decide, but we didn't ask either. Anyway, we had a couple nice drinks, some grilled shrimp and a poblano quesadilla. All very good. Lovely... More

I tried one of their flatbreads and a glass of white wine. Service was amazing, staff was attentive and good in recommending the food. The recommended flatbread was fabulous. It completed my whole Balboa Park experience.

We usually eat here when we visit Balboa Park every year and enjoy sitting outside on the terrace. The food is always good and very fresh. The service friendly and good. Happy to report that they know how to make good ice tea too which is rare in California.

Ate here pre Globe performance. Very nice atmosphere, food and service is quite good. Have some interesting menu options that align with the Spanish decor.

We were visiting Balboa Park for the first time. After several hours walking around, exploring gardens and museums we decided to have a late lunch at Prado. So glad that we did! We had a very nice meal out of doors on the front patio - just wish we could have had our meal in the outdoor dining room. It... More

This is an example of what a park should look like ! One of the most beautiful parks plus museums and more right in the center of this beautiful city.
