Good/Not So Good

I have conflicting views on this restaurant. First, the food quality and quantity was excellent. But this is more of a designer breakfast cafe than a straightforward breakfast restaurant. We walked past this restaurant on Saturday and Sunday because of the long line to get seated. On Monday morning we decided to see what the fuss was about. Sat right down and ordered coffee- good coffee. Breakfast and lunch menu has several options. Husband and I decided to share the pancakes after spotting them on someone's table. 3 enormous... More

I ate twice at the one on J and 13th Street. It looks like a Victorian restored building. It was delicious. They really are a health conscious restaurant. Their pankcakes are great. I had their soyrizo burrito and it was soooo delicious. Their ice tea is yummy and everyone I went with loved their food as well. The price is... More

The best breakfast ever! It is so delicious! And also the plates are huge. The pictures here don't give a justice. The best hash potatoes. And coffee is delicious. You have to try mocha Thai with condensed milk.

Cause it is so good! This was our second visit at the Mission. 11 a.m. on a week day and there still was a twenty minute wait. One block from the bay and one block from the Pacific. Ideal spot...except for parking. Outstanding breakfasts. Most people order their big orders of pancakes and French toast. I like their eggs, chicken... More

My husband and I ate brunch at the Mission for the first time after a friend recommended it. Too long a wait for horrible pancakes and an ok plate of chilaquiles. Coffee was good and excellent service. Too expensive for what they served!

My hubby and I ate here twice while in SD. Their food is phenomenal. Both times I had 2 different types of pancakes. I am craving them right now- so good! The staff is so friendly. We will definitely return.

We have made multiple trips to The Mission and that won't stop. The breakfasts here are outstanding - unique preparation, presentation and taste. We keep trying new things on the menu and have never been disappointed. We love the location, though parking can be a challenge if you're not there early. The service is very good.

My girlfriend and i are san diego natives and we were suggested this spot for some morning grub. We were appalled by the so called "food" that was given to us. First and foremost, i would like to say we were told 15 min waiting period, which turned to 45 min. Secondly, the dishes, silverware, and glasses were all filthy.... More

Ate here with my family, got the blueberry cornmeal pancakes, they were the best I've ever had! Would come here again, and again, and again. Best breakfast in town!
