There were 3 of us, and everything was delish!! We were only in town for 6 days and just had to go again for breakfast before we left. There was a short wait on Saturday, but during the week we were seated immediately. A definite must if you are near mission beach.

The coffee was delicious and hot, the service attentive even though they were very busy and the food was very good and there was plenty for all of us. I appreciated the approach to regional fresh and seasonal foods. I got one of their great T-shirts for my son a picture of which will retain a fond memory for me.

We came here for breakfast one morning and really enjoyed our food. Please be advised that parking is a pay lot across from the restaurant. We parked on the street and got a ticket. There’s limited street parking to begin with and they sweep the streets several days a week, so just keep an eye out for signs.

Freshly made hot breakfast in town before our trip out. Sad that I have to say fresh and hot but most joints find it hard to do. Parking sucks here but the grub is well worth it. We came on a weekday and I can imagine how busy it would be during high season. The toast was homemade and the... More

This was a real find. We had a nice leisurely stroll through Gaslamp and into the East Village. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but when you enter, you get a sense that things are happening. We were seated in a cozy, albeit wooden, booth near the kitchen. The service was friendly and the food came quickly.... More

I wanted to love this place. It was exactly what I was looking for in San Diego and the menu reads wonderfully. Unfortunately, the food was a bit too mediocre. The egg filled tortillas were tasty but the tortillas themselves were rather raw and should have been better cooked and/or toasted. The black beans were underdone and needed seasoning. The... More

Went there based on TA reviews. We were not disappointed! The wife had the highly recommended French Toast and she was happy she did. On the recommendation of our server Jen, I had the Apple Chicken Sausage with scrambled eggs & rosemary home fries; another hit. The service was great and our server Jen was friendly, efficient and attentive, all... More

I got the french toast w/scrambled eggs & bacon. The toast was very dense and not just your typical cheap white bread dipped in egg. It definitely filled you up. The sauce that was on the rim had a great nice sweetness that paired well with the dish. The service was friendly and came by pretty often with whatever we... More

Have eaten breakfast at a lot of places in San Diego, but this is the best so far. The menu is varied and eclectic and I'd be surprised a person could not find something they like. Prices are reasonable, wait staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Seems like a nice neighborhood eatery that deserves all of the great... More

Layers of gooey cinnamon bread that they make in house makes the best French Toast I've ever had. The savory dishes just as good, made with fresh ingredients. I like their focus on Farm Fresh eggs, Jidori chicken, organic greens and everything made in house. Yum! Can't wait to go back.
