This has become a favorite stand by when we are in the San Diego area and want our Mexican fix. Food is good (like the swordfish tacos), service is great and price is right. Careful not to fill up on the queso dip

Plenty for your money and a nice margherita. Really enjoyed the combination meals. Our waiter could have been slightly more full of humour at times(!) but that's just nitpicking! Nice food overall.

We tried Miguel's Shelter Island on a recommendation of a co-worker who had lived in Point Loma for several years. It was a Sunday evening and the place was packed. We asked for and the hostess got us outside seating with very little wait. Water, chips and some yummy jalepeno queso dip were served immediately. My friend's favorite dish is... More

We had lunch at the Miguel's near Shelter Island in mid-August. The service was extremely friendly and prompt and we enjoyed sitting outdoors on the second level. Prices are reasonable, portions are huge, but this is certainly not authentic Mexican food. I had the seafood burrito and my husband had a beef tostado. Mine was absolutely smothered in yellow cheddar... More

Staff were nice. Food was authentic and fresh. We made changes to our menu choice and they didn't blink an eye. The cost was average and worth it.

I enjoyed everything i ate (fish tacos, nachos with cheese and salsa, fried ice cream, cocktails) and the wait staff. Ate at the bar with friends.

We had a great time here! When we first arrived, we were told it might be 20 minute wait. After heading to the bar, we were seated 10 minutes later. The service was ok the first visit, the food was really good. See there, the first visit. We visited this place because on another website we found out they serve... More

I got invited here by a friend. I must say I was impressed with such delicious food and a very friendly staff. The ambiance was like being in southern Mexico with all the talavera tile.

We could not understand why we had to wait outside for a table for over 20 mins when there were plenty of empty tables inside and in the patio. I did enjoy the free chips with 3 different salsas. Everything else was over-priced Mexican food. It was OK. Not my favorite place to dine and won't be coming back.

We loved this restaurant in May 2013, great food, great happy hour and awesome dip. This time we went July 4th, at 1:55 pm, the server advised us no happy hour until 2 pm, which was 5 minutes away, and hardly no one was here due to July 4th, terrible customer service, we ordered fish tacos, and huevos rancheros, the...
