great fried shrimp & good service

4 of us wanted a casual seafood place and loved Mitch's. We sat outside for a while and would have liked to have stayed there looking at the boats but got too cold. Ordered fried shrimp, fish & chips, calamari & fish stew. Everything was delicious. The coating on the shrimp was very crispy and... read more

For some reason we didn't drive directly up to Mitch's seafood even though our Siri navigator was telling us we were there. Mitch's is sort of behind a building but that means it is right on the water with calming waterside seating. Our group of 7 was very glad we found it. Mitch's has a large selection of tastily prepared... More

Mitch's definitely has the best fish sandwich in town! They always have a great verity of fresh fish (unless you come late during peak seasons) that you can choose from. A much better option to the over priced/over hyped Point Loma Seafood. No one seems to realize that its right next to PLSeafood but after you try Mitch's you will... More

Our party of 7 ordered a whole variety of different things, and every dish was a winner. The scallop tacos and fish tacos were generously portioned and fresh tasting. The ceviche had a bright, spicy flavor. Even the cheeseburgers that our kids ordered were really flavorful! Be warned that Mitch's can be a bit hard to find. It's in the... More

Best and freshest seafood with excellent service for a casual dinner. We had salads with grilled fish chosen from the fresh catch of the day as well as a ceviche made from one of the fresh fish choices. It was as good as some of the exclusive seafood restaurants we've been to at half the price. It is a fishing... More

If Point Loma Seafoods is too crowded or closed this is a good second choice. Plenty of inside seating limited outside seating. The food is good especially the fish tacos.

Not a large place so you need to try to beat the crowd. Indoor seating and stool seating on a porch overlooking the marina. You order and then take number flag to your table....staff delivers the meal. Had one of the daily fresh choices---gold spotted bass I believe it was called.....absolutely delicious....and very reasonably priced. Cold slaw was good as... More

Right there by the marina so boats and sea smells permeated the area. Dinners were priced OK, service was not real good, food was acceptable (calimari tasted like rubber but the crab cake was great!!!!

I have been here a few times when I visited SD. Everyone who goes with me that these are the best fish tacos we have ever eaten. It is a fun place to be - lots of fresh fish choices, outside casual dining on the water. Be prepared to make a fresh fish choice for whatever dish you choose. Try... More

I have dined here on several trips to San Diego; it is located in the Point Loma Marina, which is close to several motels where I have stayed. It overlooks some of the sport-fishing docks, and you can chose to eat out on the rear balcony in pleasant weather, which, in San Diego, is most of the time! Some of... More
