I'm a local San Diegan and my daughter used to work at Mitch's - and we keep coming back! Mitch's Seafood always has a great selection of fresh fish prepared in a variety of ways. You order your food at the counter and it's brought to your table. I think the best place to eat is outside overlooking the harbor... More

Always a good place to eat but can be busy during the fishing season in San Diego. Always good food and cold beer! Overlooks the fishing boats at three sportfishing landings in Point Loma! Inside and outside seating (bar style seating outside overlooking the harbor).

What a concept! You walk up to the counter of what looks like a sea food market, you pick your fresh seafood of choice and how you want it prepared, from tacos to regular fried, then you pick a table and wait while they prepare it for you. Simple, with a great view of the harbor. Two thumbs up from... More

What a find for us desert rats, the real deal out of the ocean! We can't help but notice that the seafood tastes way better here near the ocean!!! And here at Mitch's, well its sublime. The place is small, rustic and staffed by very pleasant and efficient 20's and perhaps 30's staff. We ordered their mixed seafood platter at... More

I had the fresh yellow-tail fish tacos. Very good. On my second visit I just ordered a cheese burger. Again, very good. The waitstaff was friendly and I would eat here again.

I had three tacos: Grilled Shrimp, Beer Battered Cod, & Fresh Fish Manchong. Hubby had Grilled Manchong and both dishes were delicious for a great price. Walk on the pier and you may see seals/sea lions. I know we did.

Nothing fancy, just good, fresh seafood. Walk up to the counter and place your order. Then sit outside and enjoy the people and boat watching. They'll give you a number when you place your order and one of their energetic servers brings you your food.

Love stopping to grab some fresh fish here-either grilled fish tacos or fish and chips before going out on a fishing boat. Quality of the food is always good and they serve Ballast Point brews on tap here- a definite plus!

TripAdvisor brought me here, and I'm just returning the favor! I love the Point Loma area because I love to be down around boats, and water, and people that love both. NO PLACE TO PARK? Mitch's is is a little tiny place located behind a deep sea charter boat concessionaire's office. It is set just above the marina, well back... More
