A great find that's easy to miss on the ocean side of a parking lot. Frequented by people going out on fishing boats and the rest of us who come across it. Casual place with great service and excellent fish. Soup, fish plates, fish tacos, sandwiches, salads. Reasonable prices. Seating indoors or outside looking our on the bay. Yum!

Five of us went for a local seafood dinner. It was ok. The appetizers (nachos) were tasty but arrived after the entrees! Don't they know the appetizers should be served first? Also, one of our entrees never arrived, so we shared from our plates until it was prepared. Food quality was fine, just make sure the counter staff understand your... More

Of the few spots that I hit on my trip to San Diego this was my favorite. The seafood was fantastic. I had the Mixed seafood and Lobster Tacos. The lobster taco was so good.

It's too bad I drove from all the way from Vegas JUST to have fish here. When I stood at the counter and placed my order one of the cooks from the kitchen saw my bracelet, looked me in the eye turned to his friends in the kitchen nodded his head my way and said, "cochino" He assumed that I... We frequent the place for a get together with family, whenever we have the chance to go to San Diego. Once you walk in the restaurant you will immediately feel welcomed as the ambiance is inviting, as you see the seafront view and waving tides. The staff/ servers were awesome and friendly, as they are all smiles and attentive to... More

Mitch's is a great alternative to the more well known seafood restaurant/fish market nearby. I love the homey feeling, awesome food, view of harbor, great service, and variety and sizes of draft beer ... 16 or 32 oz glasses. Grilled fish tacos, your choice of fresh fish available, are great!

I stood in line for what seemed like forever, but that is in part because the wonderful smell coming from hte kitchen was making me hungery. Luckily there were a lot of friendly people in line that made it not seem so bad. Don't let the long line disswade you. Get in the line, stay there and order. You will... More

Tough place to park. The sea gulls and pigeons are fat and sassy. You walk up and order your food while you look at the thick slabs of fresh fish on ice. I had their popular combo of Alaska cod, shrimp and crab cakes with fries and cold slaw for $13.50. Battled the birds and the mass of people who... More

While walking along the harbor water front we ran into this great little seafood restaurant sitting in behind a fishing charter office. The first time we were there it was packed with the fisherman waiting to load onto their boats. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner, this is not a suit and tie place to eat more like shorts and... Visited Mitch's while on business in San Diego. Was told this was the place locals go for good seafood -- I believe it. The food was incredible, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was perfect. Right on the wharf, complete with the sea air and the sounds of swarming seagulls (watch your tacos or you'll lose them). I had... More
