It is a really great place! The fish was delicious! The restaurant is directly on the water. It is a small place, you can sit on the waterfront. A lot of local people a there.... The price is completely ok.

The food is great as are the views and the service is good. The prices are reasonable for the area. There is nothing to dislike.

This is the quintessential "hole in the wall" seafood restaurant. On the dock and always a nice atmosphere. Dog friendly as you can sit outside overlooking the fishing boats.

We come for our seafood fix. My favs are the clam chowder, yellowtail fish tacos, fishermans stew (now you can get lobster) and shrimp and crab louis salad. Only thing that can be a problem is parking. The restaurant shares pay parking with all the shops in the plaza, the charter boats and their customers and the regular fishermen. Mitch's... More

Four of us went here for dinner and sat on the stools looking out at the water. There were seals chasing boats and the funky smell of fishing. The place is definitely not fancy. You place your own order, grab a number and they bring the food to you. Between the four of us we had grilled fish platters, salad... More

Well.. from the reviews that I had read my expectations were high. I ordered the shrimp cocktail, $8.50. Fish tacos. $3.50 each one. My wife had the ceviche of the day which was octopus. $5. My daughter ordered the seafood platter. $14. So as you can see from photos it looks like a lot of food. $55 total bill. First... More

A good friend who lives nearby introduced me to Mitch's. Good burgers, he said. There are burgers on the menu as well as many other items. There's a list of the fresh fish available and various preps. I love swordfish and hadn't it so long....had to do the grilled swordfish steak sandwich. In a word, delicious! We will be going... More

This place was five minutes from our hotel on Shelter Island. We had a little trouble finding parking there was a lot full sign when there was spots available but we got in and the place does validate your parking for one hour from the time your ticket is stamped. The place is small with seats outside with a view... More

Very hard to find. Sits behind a tackle shop in the Marina overlooking the water. Seats are offered inside as well as along the rail outside. Stand in line to order and the choices are very good. Plates come with Fries and Cole slaw. I had the sampler which was 3 shrimp, cod and crab cake. My wife had the... More
