Good food, but super cramped

Good selection and great presentation of food. This is a very popular spot, so be prepared for a wait! There are plenty of coffee shops and stores within walking distance to help you pass the time. We went on a hot day and the patio was quite warm even though there was a fan going. The food takes a... read more

Eclectic, small diner that over delivers quality. The prices are a little on the high side for breakfast but the quality and portion size make it worth every penny. Service was great, food was great and we left promising to return on our next visit to San Diego. Can't recommend highly enough!

get ready to wait in line for pure American Awesomeness! anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour! and then go inside and be flabbergasted! the first rule should be, two to a plate!! because their portions are through the roof! just unbelievable how much food they pack on one plate. It is next to impossible to finish. The food itself... More

I was here with my family for my sisters birthday and what a great experience, the plates are enormous that you can feed 2 people... I tried the coconut pancakes and they were delicious... Come early if you don't want to wait outside or make a reservation like we did!!!!

The breakfast at this place is out of this world! Mega sized French toast, pancakes, and waffles are delicious! Fresh squeezed juices and flavorful bacon to wash down your scrumptious dish! You can also get chicken and waffles and to die for biscuits and gravy which are as large as a small child.

I had eaten at this restaurant several years ago and enjoyed it very much, so I took my mother on a recent San Diego stay. I had some very delicious waffles/chicken, and my mom had a gigantic BLT. She barely ate half and brought the rest back to our hotel. I would recommend splitting a meal here. (Prior to your... More

The food is great - huge portions, reasonably priced, and very good. However this place is SO noisy, and the music is SO loud, that it's uncomfortable to stay for any length of time. The wait staff is attentive and service was good. However you will also likely WAIT for quite a while before you get a table.

It was busy when I arrived but it was well worth the wait to be seated. There were various menu items I would've liked to have tried but was very pleased with my selection. I will definitely return when I'm in San Diego.

We waited for 40 minutes to eat. We were seated outside which normally we love but try to eat inside because there were many flies. Our dishes were enormous but tasty. I thought the hash would be typical but it was just huge pieces of potatoes. I like more traditional hash personally. Coffee was delicious. Bloody Mary was watery so... More
