This restaurant is inside the Grant Hotel. The hotel reminds me of the classy hotels in Manhattan, NY not what you would expect in San Diego. Very elegant with excellent food and great service. The entire party of 8 all enjoyed their meals and the wine list was impressive too. Highly recommended for a special night out or some romance!

Recently we stayed at the US Grant and used Opentable to book reservations which worked well. Restaurant opens at 5:30. Come smartly dressed but not required. Dining room and attached lounge/bar nicely decorated, elegant and upscale. Service by both the lounge and restaurant staff was excellent especially from Sergio and Natalie. We had dinner twice and found that both servers... More

We stayed at the hotel the night we ate at the grill. I usually avoid hotel restaurants, but this one was not an afterthought as so many are. Excellent food and service.

I'm calling this more of an 'experience' than just a meal. Yes I thought the food was delicious - we actually had dinner and breakfast here. However I think the top-notch service and Decor elevated this to the next level. The live music Saturday night was such a great addition - highly recommended! As far as the food itself -... More

It's a very pretty room, and I had a champagne cocktail which was done very nicely.. in fact it wasn't on the Happy Hour menu and the bartender was nice enough to give me the Happy Hour Discount. I had a few appetizers, I didn't care for the way they prepared their oysters, and the peppered lamb meatballs were overkill... More

Though our service was a little on the slow side, overall the Grant Grill is a winner. I'll start out by saying the Manhattans are phenomenal! For an app I went with the sweetbreads - I've only recently learned that I'm a fan so I try them just about everywhere as of late. They were wonderful - rich and crispy.... More

The ribeye was absolutely perfect, one of the best steaks I've had on the West Coast. The lamb dish was also amazing. Awesome sized portions for a fine dining restaurant Definitely recommend the Centennial Manhattan, as well. Hands down the best Manhattan I've ever had. Stellar service... no complaints at all.
