The service was very good and the food was great overall, except for the raw beef. They couldn't have given my friend a smaller portion if they tried.

We were staying at the US Grant and decided to have dinner at the Grant Grill as it was a special occasion, The dinner was wonderful, especially the dry aged beef, the wine list was extensive and we picked a wonderful Syrah, our waitress made the evening very special with amazing service. I would have highly recommended this restaurant but... More

I have stayed and dined at the U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego several times, and the food always has been very good, but the new chef has taken it up a notch. The dishes are creative, the ingredients are fresh and bursting with flavor, and the service provided by Natalie (dinner) and Auggie (breakfast) was outstanding, as was the... More

I was alone for a nice breakfast. I was waiting for a hostess to show up at the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign for at least ten mins. There is a coffee stand for guests nearby so while waiting I poured myself a coffee. The hostess showed and was friendly. I was seated at a table for 6. That's... More

Although I was not staying at the US Grant this trip I decided to pay a fist to the bar at the Grant Grill. Usually I only have a snack and a drink but decided to have dinner here instead and was very pleased. The staff are extremely friendly and the bar-tender whose name is escaping me now has been... I have eaten here twice now, as part of business dinners whilst visiting San Diego. While I can say that the food is beautifully presented, fresh and delightfully tasty, to my mind it is also overpriced for what you actually receive. Am I wrong for wanting to feel sated by my meal? Both times I have left Grant Grill, I... More

I only ate at the restaurant one time during my three night stay, and the food was excellent. The meat was cooked exactly as requested (a nice touch in today's eating world). The pretzel bite appetizer was incredible. A little pricey or I would have given 5 circles.

We came here on a saturday night at 8PM with a party of 6 adults and 4 children (10, 10, 5 and 3). We did not feel uncomfortable at all. Did not see any stink eyes from the staff. Our waitress was extremely courteous and friendly. However, we did have some service issues you would not expect from a fine... More
