A pretty Good Choice

There are so many restaurants in Little Italy. It is tough to rate them all against each other. This one does have some components that the others to do not have. The location is spectacular, right in the middle of Little Italy in San Diego. We arrived at 5pm and needed to valet park two blocks away for $8. We were seated right away and had an awesome, real Italian waiter from Milan. The food was better than average. I had the short ribs which were very tasty, my travel companion... More

Came for a simple dinner, pizzas and a bottle of red wine, pepperoni and primavera. Very cheesy and filling, could have been much crispier. Quite quick service, could be friendlier. We did not have to leave the restaurant hungry but would eat somewhere else next time..

I was in San Diego for business and had a craving for Italian. So I walked down to Little Italy and decided to try Trattoria Fantastica. I did not regret it. I started off with some bread. It was awesome, as it was well seasoned and served warm. I then order to paster and sauce and it was great. The... More

First time at this restaurant in Little Italy but a big fan of the restaurant group that this is part of. This restaurant is very nice, wide selection of wines, served excellent food and we had a great waiter - what more could one want. I had the Osso Bucco which was extremely good and tender over linguini. The other... More

We went to this restaurant on a lovely San Diego evening so of course we wanted to sit outside and this restaurant was able to accomodate us. We had a delightful Moscato and waited for our dinner eating the delicious bread they serve with oil and balsamic vinegar. We had the Chicken Parmigiana with a side of angel hair pasta.... More

While visiting in San Diego, a friend and I visited Little Italy and decided on Trattoria Fantastica for our evening meal. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and we had a nice table outside. My friend from Portugal thought his meal was the best pasta he had ever eaten, and I enjoyed mine equally as much. Since we... More

Had a lovely evening at this restaurant and I highly recommend you put this on your list. Service was excellent. Our waiter, Sal, was helpful, friendly, and had excellent recommendations. The food was outstanding. Our first course pasta with wild boar ragout was simply delicious. Each second course was equally wonderful, sausage with pepper and onions, and braised short rib.... More

Very good local style Italian restaurant in the heart of Little Italy. Menu range is good without being over the top. Food quality was very good and service efficient without being too quick.

I ate at the Trattoria several times. Each time I has separate entrees or appetizers. Every thing brought me back to wonderful vacations in Italy. Thanks for the memories.
