A great evening at a very good restaurant

Finding an Italian restaurant in Little Italy in San Diego is not hard. They line the street and are packed. We found this one by chance and are glad we did. Our table was way in the back, and the way it was decorated (with clothes hanging on a clothesline!) it made it seem like we were... read more

This was the best Italian place I have eaten in years. Try the pasta with mussels. It was great. Nice staff and fast with the food.

In comparing our experience here with others in Little Italy, this was definitely below average. Our appetizer, polenta with veal meatballs, came out on a very hot plate. However the food was just marginally warm. It could have been good. The spinach salad was not memorable. I'd say it was a little below average. The bacon in it didn't have... More

While celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in San Diego, we came across this, I'll say it, fantastic Italian restaurant in the Little Italy neighborhood just north of our downtown hotel. We had a wonderful table outside, enjoying the ever-changing crowd strolling by while dining on superb Italian cuisine. A very memorable evening!

The lamb and the braised short ribs, both served in Barolo sauce, mixed with the friendly wait staff and lovely Italian patio dining made my visit here memorable. A must visit.

I have been to this restaurant many times before. Perhaps it has been a few years. I wanted to have a nice evening meal with my husband but it was wrong on many levels. The hostess was ambivalent about finding us in the café next door as we were waiting for our table. (Part of the same ownership.) When I... More

First visit to San Diego so I didn't know what to expect from Little Italy. Cute little area with trendy restaurants. Found this place after reading reviews. Food was authentic and great. I judge an Italian restaurant by its tomato sauce and this one was good! Great selection of Italian desserts as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

Food amazing, service by Vince was wonderful, front & back out door patios were a pleasure. Desserts hard to choose so many but we loved the "Cannolis" the best, as good as in Venice, Italy. Being Italian I feel free to say this is my favorite restaurant in "Little Italy."

We chose this restaurant to meet up with a family friend who is now living in SD. It was an awesome choice, not only because it was 1/2 price wine night, but also because the food and service were excellent. The special ravioli of the day was a wild mushroom and the seafood special was sea bass. They were both... More
