We chose this restaurant to meet up with a family friend who is now living in SD. It was an awesome choice, not only because it was 1/2 price wine night, but also because the food and service were excellent. The special ravioli of the day was a wild mushroom and the seafood special was sea bass. They were both... More

It was a pretty good choice and we had an enjoyable evening! The food was above the average for an average price to a good selection.

There is often a wait to get a table at this restaurant when they have entertainment on 3 nights per week. A singer & dancer will make you smile! The Italian food is good, but small portions on the meat.

We were staying at the Doubletree Hilton hotel nearby Little Italy and were looking for a place that was open for breakfast. Most stuff in the area doesn't open until brunch (10am or later). However, Trattoria Fantastica was open. We were seated immediately and got a great spot out on the sidewalk. We had two cups of fresh coffee delivered... More

I had both a dinner and breakfast at this relaxed and pretty open-air restaurant in the heart of little Italy. The food and service were excellent. The staff were nice but somewhat unprofessional - checking cell phones, seeming not to know when to take over and what to do... Asked for my salad to come lightly dressed and I had... More

There are so many restaurants in Little Italy. It is tough to rate them all against each other. This one does have some components that the others to do not have. A large and charming back patio off the street and an adjoining bakery with a case full of Italian treats. They also have live music in the evenings. My... More

The location is spectacular, right in the middle of Little Italy in San Diego. We arrived at 5pm and needed to valet park two blocks away for $8. We were seated right away and had an awesome, real Italian waiter from Milan. The food was better than average. I had the short ribs which were very tasty, my travel companion... More

Came for a simple dinner, pizzas and a bottle of red wine, pepperoni and primavera. Very cheesy and filling, could have been much crispier. Quite quick service, could be friendlier. We did not have to leave the restaurant hungry but would eat somewhere else next time..

I was in San Diego for business and had a craving for Italian. So I walked down to Little Italy and decided to try Trattoria Fantastica. I did not regret it. I started off with some bread. It was awesome, as it was well seasoned and served warm. I then order to paster and sauce and it was great. The... More
