Good sized sundaes with a big price to go along with it. The sea salt and carmel hot fudge sundae was excellent and huge. Not sure if it was worth $10.00, but it was good. But, Gaslamp district is trendy and expensive anyways.

Had taken a tumble earlier in the day, so insisted my husband buy me an ice cream to make me feel better. It worked! This is a wonderful old fashioned ice cream parlour with too many flavours to choose from in just one visit, which is a pity because we live several thousand miles away and cannot easily get back.... Ghiradelli is well-known in San Francisco (where it originated); the shop in San Diego is very nice and in the center of the Gaslamp Quarter. The staff was very welcoming; we were very excited to see both dark chocolate hot fudge and milk chocolate hot fudge. Expresso Chip and Mint Chip were are favorites and the sundaes and milkshakes are... More

Who wouldn't give FIVE STARS to this tasty place? Go order yourself a sundae and leave your guilt on the sidewalk. Calories don't count in here!

We shared a sundae between two of us, which was easily big enough to share. It was lovely, but possibly not worth the price for a dish that essentially was mostly ice-cream. The shop has a large area of tables, which was empty when we visited so it easy to get somewhere to eat and it arrived quickly.

The deserts were outrageous. I cannot eat dairy and I was able to find desert! The chocolates also come in small sample sizes so everyone can choose what they like.

Great for the kids. Large sundaes, service is excellent and very fast. Plus lots of unique Ghirardelli chocolates.

After dining at the Grant Grill and then attending the San Diego Gay Men's presentation of Madonna, it was late, but not too late, to mosey down to Ghirardelli on 5th Ave - "Restaurant Row." My wife, Daughter # 2 and SIL (the Navy's Pride) couldn't wait to have an ice cream treat! The only thing missing were my two... More

If you love ice cream like we do, this is a must. It has the old time soda fountain atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring your ice cream to you in no time. Clean, friendly, excellent sundaes with any flavor ice cream you want in it. Yes it is a little pricey for ice cream but I... More

Just finished our delicious ice cream in Gaslamp District. Best ice cream of our trip - each of us enjoyed this the most of the 5 places we've had. A must do in San Diego.
