I was driving back to San Diego to head to the airport to fly back to the east coast and decided to try this restaurant. Great food, staff and view.
We stopped in just for cocktails at The Top of the Market's beautifully appointed bar above The Fish Market at Sea Harbor....but were also treated to a gorgeous sunset over the Harbor. Our cocktails were prepared by a quite proficient and friendly barista, who prepared for me one of their specialty cocktails, an Elderflower Infusion martini, made with a crisp... More
Stopped in for a late lunch and was not disappointed. My wife had crab cakes which were as good as the ones she had in Maine. I had the smoked trout which was done perfect. Will go back anytime.
For my wife's birthday I took her to Top of the Market. It was her 50th and I wanted to make it special. Having had a business dinner several months ago I thought it would be a good choice. April was our server and she was a delight in terms of service and personality. I had the Cioppino which was... More
Next to USS Midway, ~$15 per person for a regular lunch, nothing special, but my parents like the soup. Btw you can get up to $3's coins for parking if choosing to eat over there.
This was one of the most disappointing restaurants I'd ever been to. We went for a late lunch after visiting the USS Midway. The view was beautiful and the flavoring of the food was decent, but they had some fatal flaws... - WAY overpriced. High prices are to be expected somewhere like this but the quality/quantity food was almost insulting... More
My brother, who lives in San Diego, suggested this restaurant when I told him I wanted really good seafood, so six of us went. My husband and I had the Chipotle Rubbed Local Swordfish--oh my, it was delicious! It was the best swordfish I've ever had. I don't even remember what everyone else had. Parking can be a problem, so... More
When entering The Fish Market, my imagination was captured by the smells of fresh seafood. Then I was amazed by the variety of seafood specialties available on the menu. I chose the fresh trout. I was not disappointed by my meal. Both the service and the food choices were excellent. I did not have to wait long to receive my... More
Regulars at the Fish Market because of the consistently good food, service and AMAZING sunsets. Our 'trick' is to walk past the line of guests waiting for a table and walk into the bar or Sushi Bar where we can be seated without any wait and often get the bay side table. The House Chardonney is reasonably priced and quite... More
