You want to make time for this place. It is small and there is no menu to go by, just whatever they feel like making on a given day, but it is worth it. You have never seen or tasted desserts like this. We had to wait in line for 20-30 minutes just to get to the counter to order,... More

After running the San Diego Marathon, I wanted to treat myself. This was SO good. We went to restaurtant in little italy (there are two locations). I had the German Chocolate cake with a parline ice cream and my husband had a brownie sundae. The cake was huge and had rose petals all over it. The best part was the... More

8 dollars for a slice of cake, but it was good. The Dessert was just delicious. It was modern. The front desk is a little too close to the door, so it gets busy quickly. The people were nice, happy to help, great service, but a little slow. It took them 20 minutes to get me a cup of some pudding... More

The desserts are very good here but not truly extraordinary. A giant clue they are not truly gourmet is their size- no true gourmet dessert is that large. Still, I stop in on average a couple times a month. I adore the coconut gelato and tropical fruit banana split. The servers are almost always attentive and courteous but the front... More

I visited Extraordinary Desserts last Saturday night. Our party of four was seated in less than 10 minutes (although we were told it could be 45). Our server was friendly and attentive, and the desserts were out of this world - gorgeous presentation, amazing flavor. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in San Diego.

If you are a celiac or are gluten intolerant -- this is not the place for you. Everything looks delicious and smells marvelous, but there is very little you can have here. Let's all tell the owner we need treats too. How about flourless chocolate cake or flourless almond torte or biscotti that we (one out of every 130 people)... More

I know there have been some poor reviews but the day we went everything was great. I know they have two locations and the one we were at was their original location so that may be part of it. Not only are the desserts a work of art but the flavors were intense, rich and everything was so fresh. We... More

The desserts here are on the pricier side but its worth it especially if sweets are your weak spot. Everything that I've tried is flavorful, decadent, and beautifully artistic. I have tried the sorbets, creme brulee and the chocolate strudel. The chocolate strudel is by far my favorite. Every time I visit San Diego, I will have to make it... More
