We went to the cafe after seeing it on TV. The French toast was amazing, probably the best I have ever had. The service was excellent. The coffee was good and it kept being refilled. So glad I made time to visit during my stay in San Diego

It is difficult to find pancakes not made from white flour. Crest Cafe offers a short stack of multi-grain pancakes with cottage cheese in the batter, topped with slivered almonds and blackberries - absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Western omelette and it came full of tasty ham, cheddar cheese and fresh peppers and onions. It was fluffy and light... More

We wanted to visit a restaurant that was featured on Diners-Drive-ins-& Dives show. This place is known for their Creme Brulee French toast (which I ordered). It was good. I ordered the strawberries and whipped cream on the side because it would have been way too sweet with that special brulee sauce they serve it with. My boyfriend ordered the... More

I've been eating at the Crest for a long, long time. Not sure why it never occurred to me to review them. I guess because when I go there I feel like I'm going home and who writes a review about their own home? Extremely diverse menu, everything I've eaten there has been good to great, the service is fantastic... More

Better late than never, Joe. Pardon the mushiness for a second, but this is the kind of feedback that really reminds us why we're passionate about running this place. Thank you so much for your loyalty over the years and for spreading the word about your second home. We'll see you soon! Until then, Crest Cafe More

I have been going to the Crest Cafe for almost 15 years. My Children take me here for the "Billy Burger" on my Birthday and Father's Day. They will cook a hamburger as rare as you like. This means they use only the best meat for their food. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it. The menu has... More

Can we talk about how perfect it is that a guy named Bill loves the Billy's Burger?! Love it. 15 years is a long time -- thank you for your business over the years, and know that we're looking forward to countless visits to come! Until the next one, Crest Cafe More

This gem was recommended by our hotel and we were not disappointed. It was busy when we arrived so had to wait about 15 min. While waiting we saw the poster on the wall that it had been on drive ins diners & dives so I knew it had to be good. Service was excellent as was the food. Portions... More

Took 6 in for breakfast. They were busy, but, after a short wait seated us. Fast service, friendly staff and good food. Worth the travel to eat this good.

We went in search of breakfast one morning & discovered this gem. We tried two of their unique French Toast dishes and they were both fabulous. We would highly recommend this place, at least for breakfast. Awesome!

Our son-in-law had seen a segment about the Crest Cafe on one of the food channels. We got a table outside on a Friday morning and the street-side table was surprisingly quiet. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and it was more than enough! Everyone else in our party had a nice large breakfast that was delicious.
