It's better than "Average", but not to the level of "Very Good". [Note: we ended up here because "Snooze" had a 2 - 3 hour wait!] My salad had interesting ingredient combinations, but the basil dressing was too strong, and the raspberry dressing too sweet - I finally settled on blue cheese. The waiter was very accommodating and attentive. Everyone... More

I'm long overdue writing a review for the Crest as I've been a regular here since 1988! I can't say enough about the awesome food and staff. I've never had a bad meal. We usually do breakfast but have done lunch and enjoy the two for burger night. If you go for breakfast on a weekend I would recommend going... More

This is one of San Diego's great restaurants, so long as you have no objection to the waiters fluttering over to your table. The food is comfort food with a big emphasis on both quanity and quality. Do not feel shy about asking for a doggie bag. The prices are quite reasonable, the service excellent, the food tremendous. Parking is... More

The daily special deals are a little difficult to navigate. The food is always good. Service is average.

Hash-house is ok but Crest is a cool, local hang-out with some of the best breakfast options around. Familiar options and exotic fair meet nicely.

Coming here for 29 years! Huge menu, good service and a cool, shabby-chic, pink decor. Very well priced and a great location in quirky Hillcrest!

One of our favorite breakfast spots, especially on weekend. But go early- it gets really crowded. Creative, tasty dishes. Personable wait staff.

I only wished my mother cooked food this good. I had a grilled turkey and brie sandwich. The turkey was roasted breat meat, not some sliced who knows what part of the turkey. The base for this great meal was the bread, it was solid, had a great crust, and full of flavor. The quality of the ingredients made the... More

Massive menu, great burgers (excellent quality beef and then cooked properly), unusual and tasty sandwiches, comfort food entrees (fish and chips, meat loaf, etc). Prices are VERY reasonable, especially for the quality of the ingredients. It's in Hillcrest.
