We wanted to visit a restaurant that was featured on Diners-Drive-ins-& Dives show. This place is known for their Creme Brulee French toast (which I ordered). It was good. I ordered the strawberries and whipped cream on the side because it would have been way too sweet with that special brulee sauce they serve it with. My boyfriend ordered the... More

I've been eating at the Crest for a long, long time. Not sure why it never occurred to me to review them. I guess because when I go there I feel like I'm going home and who writes a review about their own home? Extremely diverse menu, everything I've eaten there has been good to great, the service is fantastic... More

I have been going to the Crest Cafe for almost 15 years. My Children take me here for the "Billy Burger" on my Birthday and Father's Day. They will cook a hamburger as rare as you like. This means they use only the best meat for their food. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it. The menu has... More

This gem was recommended by our hotel and we were not disappointed. It was busy when we arrived so had to wait about 15 min. While waiting we saw the poster on the wall that it had been on drive ins diners & dives so I knew it had to be good. Service was excellent as was the food. Portions... More

Took 6 in for breakfast. They were busy, but, after a short wait seated us. Fast service, friendly staff and good food. Worth the travel to eat this good.

We went in search of breakfast one morning & discovered this gem. We tried two of their unique French Toast dishes and they were both fabulous. We would highly recommend this place, at least for breakfast. Awesome!

Our son-in-law had seen a segment about the Crest Cafe on one of the food channels. We got a table outside on a Friday morning and the street-side table was surprisingly quiet. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and it was more than enough! Everyone else in our party had a nice large breakfast that was delicious.

The Crest Cafe is a small quaint cafe in the Crestview region of San Diego. I was dining alone on a Saturday. I showed up shortly after it opened at 7am and it was not crowded at all. This cafe has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives so it does get packed later in the day. I ordered the... More

We visited Crest Cafe for breakfast before going to the San Diego Zoo. The menu has so many options, you'll definitely find something you like. I ordered the Hangover, a very spicy omelette with jalapenos, jack cheese, and chimichurri sauce. It took a while to eat, but it was very good. The others in our group ordered different omelettes, and... More
