After an afternoon of walking by the water this was the perfect place to stop for an afternoon pick me up! Had a delicious iced Mocha and wandered the bookstore area. Additional seating upstairs for some peace and quiet. Very cute place, will definitely stop by again.

This little gem located in Seaport Village is a book/coffee shop that also entertains local bands. I enjoyed one of my favorites, Teagan, Taylor Trio a jazz band here on a Saturday night. My daughter browsed through books while I enjoyed a nice tea and pastry. Great spot for reading, people watching or listening to music. Warm and friendly. We... More

I liked the variety of unique items in this store. There is also a coffee shop inside that offers lots of specials brews and it always had customers. It offered books, lots of theme related items, and had indoor and outdoor seating. The selection in their online site has nothing compared to all the items in the store. Fun shopping... More

An excellent spot in Seaport Village to stop for a coffee or tea, peruse the books, and purchase a stash of greeting cards. As independent bookstores become more difficult to find, this is like finding a treasure.

We love to have an expresso and goody here when we are walking around Seaport Village. They have a great selection of books and are one of the few Indie bookstores left. We heard live music here one evening. Free and enjoyable. There greeting cards are numerous and fun. A great place to stop in to get an afternoon or... More

After walking around Seaport Village, we found this unique coffee shop. The coffee was great. (The wifi was super, too!) Besides coffee, the shop had many unusual gifts, books, and, a great place to relax and enjoy life! The manager was super nice.

A stroll around the Seaport Village found me at "Upstart Crow" a shoppe which had unique gifts and tourist-oriented items. The cafe has a variety of coffees and teas available, with several kind of "home baked" good for snacking outside at the cafe's tables. The staff is cordial and warm & friendly. I found myself back there several mornings.

Bought a couple of lovely things from the shop but didn't feel over welcome at the cafe and the panini took an age to arrive and was nothing special when it did. I did find a nice secluded place outside to sit and read. Maybe I caught them on a bad day but the staff didn't seem that friendly or... More

I enjoyed my coffee and there were lots of gifts to purchase. Not much of a book store but it did have about 50 books for each genre. Cool atmosphere and great location as it was steps from the harbor.

I've been going to Upstart Crow for years, I always make a point to stop in when I'm in San Diego. I love to browse around and then order a piece of chocolate cake to enjoy by the window. Never gets old!
