I've eaten here a few times in years gone by, but never have done a review of this establishment. My friend and I had lunch here after I flew over from Las Vegas in November. Always excellent food, great wait staff and very friendly service! I had menudo, which is excellent with corn and or flour tortillas, which I had.... More

OK, first of all I have to disclose that I have been going to OTMC for years, but never offered a review. Yesterday my wife, daughter and I dropped in to enjoy a Christmas Eve lunch and was served by Mark. Mark was absolutely awesome, I cannot give him higher marks, he was completely attentive, friendly, funny, and our experience... More

Love Old Town and this is a great place for a real Mexican experience. I had ceviche and guacamole, very healthy and very delicious - and a beer!

This is a fun restaurant with great food, a vibrant casual atmosphere, and a very good value. Tortillas are made fresh on the premises. My pick for entree is the Carnitas...order them crispy with a side of guacamole and jalapeños. Solid margaritas and very good service.

You get lots of good food for a very reasonable price. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service is great. I'd be going here all the time, if I lived in San Diego.

I love the smell of home made tortillas being cooked as you walk by the restaurant which is what drew me in. I was eating by myself so I asked the waitress what would be ideal for one person yet still a favorite. She recommended the Molcajete which comes with 3 types of meat; spicy sticks of sausage, chicken and... More

We were told by many locals to eat here when we are out and about. They were right! The woman making fresh tortillas in the window to the greeters who say hello with just one foot in the door. We were sat right away at a window seat over looking the main road by the 2nd bar. The male bartender... More

My wife and I decided to eat lunch at the Old Town Mexican Cafe on December 8, 2014 while vacationing in San Diego. We have eaten at other restaurants in Old Town from previous trips, so we decided to give this one a try. We made no mistake. We knew right from the very beginning that this was going to... More

If you like Mexican food, this is a restaurant you need to try. And, it's worth the wait. I often have breakfast meetings here; get a little work done and eat good food. The machaca is excellent and so is the chicken When I go with my husband, we always order the whole chicken so we have some to take... More

We drive from our home 35 miles north of San Diego to eat here. The juevos rancheros are some of the best. The atmosphere is slightly worn comfortable an the service is friendly. We walk around Old Town afterwards It's worth the trip
