Super yummy

we were a group of seven; we ordered 5 different Moles and 2 Filet Agaves and they served us family style so that we could all try each of them. That was a great way to do it.

Very good Mexican food, with a special note for their mole dishes. They are also renowned for their large range of tequilas.

Best Tequila bar by far. They have it all. Have a shot of 1942 or Romantico with your meal. The food is delicious. A modern spin on traditional recipes. The mole is my favorite. I love the ambiance of the place. Its nice and relaxing during the day and romantic in the evening. On my top 10 list of places... More

An “escape from the touristy tortilla chip–giant margarita experience” so common in Old Town, this “upscale” “favorite” is rated the No. 1 Mexican in San Diego thanks to its “sensational” moles and other “mind-blowin... My wife and I had dinner here in early May based on a positive review in the travel book I used. I was looking forward to an authentic Mexican meal. Overall the food was much better than the typical food you get at a Mexican restaurant. The mole sauce on my dish was great but the chicken was on the... More

This is not a "Mexican Restaurant" that service Americanized Mexican food, this is real Mexican. No burritos, hard shell tacos, etc., it's gormet Mexican. It is a bit expensive, but well worth it. Oh, what a tequila selection.

It's a little hard to find, in a small shopping center over a deli just outside Old Town, but it did have parking spaces. I took a table on a partly screened outside terrace, which was very nice.
