Memorable Dining Room

I loved this dining room. The walls and ceiling are covered with tequila bottles and there are more tequilas on the menu than one could ever want to try! The room is small and cozy. This is not the little Mexican place form back home that you like so well...it's the new Mexico City Mexican fare...some very tasty combinations ...but the establishment has been reading their own promos too many times. It's good...but not that good that it can ask $30-35 an entre. If you like a good Manhattan...go elsewhere...the only thing this bartender knows... More

2,500 tequilas encase the walls of this lithe gem right on the outskirts of OLD TOWN in San Dieg. We visited Univeresity of San Diego and found this delicious and cool Mexican restaurant. It is authentic so the food is not tex-mex. It is delicious and so are the margaritas!

It seems like moles are the must-haves at this restaurant. I've never had them before so I don't have a reference point. The poblano don julio and trilogia were both good, the advantage of the trilogia was the option of trying three different moles in one dish. Personally, I preferred the taquitos we had as an appetizer. Overall, I realized... More

Wow, I took 5 others with me because I thought this would be good (2 australians/1 canadian) and it was horrible. We actually only had an appetizer plate that was a selection of some of their 'best' and it was so bad...taquitos were undercooked/meat was fatty and cold/empanadas were like rubber...really bad. We ended up paying the bill and leaving... More

This was our last meal in San Diego before flying home. It is located a short distance from the airport, with off street parking. The restaurant was amazingly not packed at dinner time. They have over 1,500 types of tequila here! We had excellent service and the food and drinks were amazing! We both ordered steaks and they were perfectly... More

I have lived in or near San Diego for more than 25 years and never been to this restaurant until yesterday. Found it by accident, at Old town Avenue and San Diego Avenue. Unlike most Old Town restaurants, they have a fair amount of free parking next to the restaurant, a decided plus. The atmosphere and furnishings are quite authentic... More

We had a 30 person (couples) dinner here on a Saturday night. Restaurant was full but not crowded. Service was pretty random. They would not do separate checks which would be understandable in a cheaper restaurant, but entrée prices here ranged from $24 - $36. Dinner for 2 with a drink +$100. We ended up combining checks in groups of... More

It took us 2 hours before we got our food and it was overcooked and not worth the watt whatsoever. The waiter was scattered and didn't crack a smile once. He brought us an extra margarita by mistake and an extra appetizer as well. He did not take the time to clear our empty glasses off the table; we had... More
