We made a reservation in the music room to listen to Latin jazz but the music was loud and we asked to be moved to the dining room, we could still. listen to the music . Our waiter was Jordan, very attentive and explained everything we wanted to know about the menu. He checked with us during the dinner to... More

I was disappointed not being able to get an early reservation at The Prado before dashing off to a show at The Old Globe so I asked for recommendations. My coworker raved about Croce's fun atmosphere with great small plates. I ordered a daily special (love they have a half portion option) which was delightful but my date had the... More

Pricey food, but delicious. Indoor or outdoor seating available. Baby boomers, best of all is that this is named for Jim Croce--as in "Operator" and "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown." Lots of memorabilia and personal photos!

Not only is the restaurant more elegant, but the food is great. The music has been separated from the main dining room, but still quite lovely in the background. I loved the fact you can order "half" entrees. I always thought restaurants serve too much food, but with half entrees it's perfect. I had the scallops and they were very... More

The food is great at Croce's. The newer chef has really brought the food into the realm it was missing a bit before him. The duck was fantastic, in fact all the dishes we ate were wonderful. I hope they do as well in their new location as they did in the Gaslamp Quarter!

the food was outstanding, the service was excellent. we had lunch at their new location and it was lovely, tables outside. Ingrid Croce came to our table to introduce herself and she was gracious and welcoming. will be sure and go back every time we visit San Diego.

A restaurant that seems catered to tourist but who food came above expectations. Good pasta, a tasty swordfish and well prepared grilled ducks. The whole party enjoyed it, we almost came back to this restaurant. Ah, good Californian wine by the glass.

We made a special trip to San Diego the last week of 2013 to have a final meal at Croce's Restaurant, which closed December 31. Luckily the new restaurant, Croce's Park West, in the Banker's Hill section of town is already open (softly) and the staff from the old place are moving to the new place. We made dinner reservations... More

Decided on this restaurant just by walking by, reading the menu, and speaking with the hostess. The OWNER seated us and must have heard us talking about it being my birthday because every staff member that we spoke to after that wished me a happy birthday. Nice touch!! The service was excellent as was the food. I saw another review... More
