Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds two or more and BUCA LARGE feeds four or more. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our decor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. Our energetic atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff make Buca di Beppo the perfect place for great Italian food and fun.

Cool atmosphere, standard Italian food in giant portions!

Good food, huge portions. Your standard Italian pastas--do NOT go if you are looking for Italian dishes without pasta, as the selection is scarce for such! Really great for a big group of people. If it's just two of you...good luck eating it all!

Really great food, but my visit was less than stellar. To be fair, it should be noted that I was with a group of about 50 people. We were ushered to a back room (it was really cool to get to walk through the kitchen to get there!) and seated at two long tables. Apparently seating is very limited, as... More

Just WOW!!! - I went there twice - but I should have gone thrice. Strongly recommend the EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA (vegetarian) - even if you are NOT vegetarian as myself. - Deserts: Tiramisu / Canoli - Portions are quite large.

Great family atmosphere. We didn't have to wait very long despite a busy weekend. Large amount of food - great value. They were out of many of the kid-friendly desserts but the waiter was so helpful in guiding us to a local place to make our kids happy :-)

Buca di Beppo was close to our hotel. We were tired and did not check TA. Fatal error! First, the menu is confusing with small and large portions. You have to be careful if you order your wine by the glass. Make sure to specify if you want a 6oz or a 9oz and check your bill. The calamaris were... More

When a "LARGE" portion of Lemon chicken is $36, there is something wrong with a restaurant's cost controls. And these chickens were dry and tasteless. Now, I know why the place was empty. We eventually ordered the "children's portions" and ala-carte portions to balance out the $36 lemon chicken. We haven't been here for over a year -- and we're... More

Food was excellent. The lasagna is out of this world. Very friendly staff and great service. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.

We had a group of 14 and this was a great choice for that reason. The prices are a little high for what you get. Not much meat, plenty of pasta which is cheaper. Service was good except getting seated. We had to increase our numbers the day of our visit and they would only change the reservation in person.... More

We were traveling to San Diego on Thanksgiving day for a soccer tournament. Having no idea where to go for Thanksgiving dinner, I did a Google search, and found Buca di Beppo. It's located in the Gaslamp district of downtown. The restaurant was about ten minutes from the airport. We had a reservation, but arrived fairly early. Everyone greeted us... More

Buca is a chain, and the emphasis is on family fun and Italian food. I recently took a business colleague (from Ireland) to this Buca in San Diego, and we had great service, and good food. In fact the quantities were large. We started with the Insalata Caprese which was elegantly prepared and served - just the right amount of... More
